If "tolerance" is the core value of political correctness, feminism is its most cherished cause, and the implications of our cultural devotion to feminism are monstrous. Feminism is not about equal rights for women but about the feminization of the American male, an ideology that is anti-family and anti-father-and virtually guaranteed to bring about the wholesale destruction of the American family.

"Feminism is not about equal rights for women"
Feminism is not about what it stands for and what it has worked towards in all past instances but rather it's about some vaguely scary thing that I'm afraid of!
Men not acting like big though macho, that's the end of the world!
Men can cry if they want to, stop oppressing men, Brannon!
Feminism is no more about "feminizing" men than the LGBT movement is about recruiting children into homosexuality. Oh wait... you believe that, too.
Hey guys, I think I've discovered why conservatives hate feminists so much!
If "tolerance" is the core value of political correctness, feminism is its most cherished cause
Not really. Anti-racism, religious tolerance, and anti-homophobia are all equally cherished causes because tolerance is about treating every group equally.
the implications of our cultural devotion to feminism are monstrous
The implications of treating women fairly and equally are monstrous? How so? Because you can't treat women like they're your property?
Feminism is not about equal rights for women
Actually, that's EXACTLY what it's about. By fucking definition.
but about the feminization of the American male, an ideology that is anti-family and anti-father-and virtually guaranteed to bring about the wholesale destruction of the American family.
1) Who the fuck is trying to feminize men? If anything that's a fringe minority.
2) How does that destroy the family?
Feminism is certainly my second most cherished cause, next to the environment, but if you want to be feminized, you'll have to pay me. Gothic, slutty, anime, or historical costume?
If by feminisation of men you mean that they treat women as human beings and in a normal not condescending one(in which they wouldn't like to be treated, even by a high rank general), I'm more than wellcome.
Yes , I can see that it is going to be impossible for some wannabe Charlton-Heston-as-Moses types to even begin to approach equality with most humans, of any gender, let alone females. My advice to them is to get a pet dog, then they can go command the dog with a stentorian voice. The dog will most likely think them glorious voices of masculine authority. "See how the Moses impersonator commands his dog!", ordinary passers-by will say. (Apologies to Monty Python's Bicycle Repair Man sketch).
Let's face it, it would have to be a dog for them, because who could keep a straight face when some blithering fantasy pillock started booming like a pompous berk in their general direction.
Aww, Brannon can't go for weeks without bathing or brushing his teeth if he wants to attract a mate. Poor widdle thing has to take care of himself to do that nowadays--how feminine! Damn them sick feminists for letting modern women stand up for themselves and say "No!" to nasty unkempt boars.
Also, here's some vital information for your everyday life: "a room of our own " == batshit-insane feminazis != feminists.
"the feminization of the American male, an ideology that is anti-family and anti-father-and virtually guaranteed to bring about the wholesale destruction of the American family."
This is what happens when little boys never grow out of their fear of cooties.
I like your TV show, Dr. Howse, but you suck. Here's another of your wrong diagnoses, eh? Keep the day/studio job.
If by "the feminization of the American male" you mean that men are no longer held up to a ridiculous standard of masculinity and shunned and bullied if they do not measure up, by crying, not being athletic, liking pink, etc., then I'm all for it.
I hate rigid gender roles no matter who is being subjected to them.
What's wrong about tolerance? Didn't Jesus say "love thy neighbor as yourself"? The very essence of tolerance.
I have many male friends who are feminists.
NOT femi-nazis, as that would mean some kind of fundamentalism or other.
Feminism has been around at least since the 60's; it doesn't seem that the American Family has changed that much since then.
I love how you people bitch about political correctness all the time but when someone criticizes your religion even slightly you're all like OMGOMGOMG.
This just in: political correctness is only about being polite. There are no laws in America forcing you to keep your speech politically correct, but if you want to not get sued for libel and you want people to listen to you, you should think about what you say more.
<Read all before criticising>
He is kinda right; I believe that equal rights for women has been the cause of the destruction of the British family.
The family unit used to be Father working, Mother staying home (cleaning, etc.) and looking after the kids. With the introduction of equal rights for women, we now have both parents working and the children returning to an empty home - so they go do their own thing running riot in the streets. Added to this is house prices rising (historically, obviously), which I believe is due to a higher family income. This forces families that would otherwise have stuck to the traditional roles being forced to have both parents working also.
The problem here isn't actually feminism, or equal rights for women, but rather the implementation of it. I am all for equal rights, but the equality should work both ways. If the woman is going to be the breadwinner, then the man should stay home (or both go part-time with enough flexibility to put the childrens' needs first).
I can generally tell the depth of someone's misogyny when all in one breath they laughably claim that the country is a matriarchy and then say anything "feminine" or being merely perceived as "female" is an awful thing and men must do their utmost to rid themselves of it.
If femaleness is despicable and contaminating, how is the country a matriarchy? Howse really thinks being female is a disgusting thing reserved for inferior creatures.
Feminism is not about equal rights for women but about the feminization of the American male...
That would be news to many male feminists. Oh yes, there are male feminists.

The 'British Family' doesn't seem to have been destroyed where I live. There are many families where I live with both parents working but I have yet to see any children running riot in the streets. Generally, people seem a lot happier these days. There's better health care, better nutrition, schooling for all, better care for new born babies and their mothers.
What there has been plenty of is change. But there's always change. And change comes thick and fast these days in comparison to say medieval times. These days change is readily apparent maybe several times in a lifetime whereas long ago change was so slow as to be hardly noticable from one generation to the next.
If your trying to tell me that things were better for you in the past, I'm not that impressed as I'm sure they were, and they usually are for most people. Certainly, life now is far better for women and children and most men than it ever was. As well, the lives of children are even more improved because people are now more aware of the predatory instincts of priestly child molesters. A recent change for the better.
This old tune has been buzzing since the suffragettes. "If they get the vote, men will wear dresses!"
I am so, so tired of your fuckwittery.
That's two different things, the emancipation of women from society's previous expectations, and the other thing, which I don't understand at all. What the devil is the "feminization of the American male?"
If you mean he does the dishes and changes a few diapers, so what? That doesn't cause huge hormone changes and the growth of man-boobs. He can still be masculine when called upon. ........If you mean that men are no longer the boss in the family, and can no longer beat a disobedient wife, good! That's a stereotype that's worth wiping out completely. ........If you mean that men are wearing more colorful clothes, that's fashion, and that's the "uniform" for many active sports. ........If you mean that you once saw two men holding hands, right there on the beach with other people around, and you were so upset that you invented that whole "feminization" of the American male" on the spot, and hurried home to post it immediately on a blog, that's a sure sign of the dangerous Ossification of the American male. See your mental health facility as soon as possible.
Confused?
