Atheist Question:
“Why doesn’t God show Himself?”

No man can look upon God and live. The Bible says that He shines above the brightness of the sun. If we stood in His presence, His justice would spill over and execute us for our crimes against His Law.

He, however, has made Himself known through His creation. The order of nature shows us His handiwork and leaves us without excuse (see Romans 1:20-24).

Nah, it's IF god exists, how come he's so shy? He apparently showed himself pretty much about 2000 years ago; has he developed agoraphobia since, or what?

Well, isn't that convenient? You also can't look into the eyes of a basilisk and live. That's why they don't show themselves...

So, you're saying that that omnipotent god of yours can't make it possible for humans to look upon him?

The order of nature? What order? Nature has just evolved together, over billions of years of trial and error, with everything in it, to fit together in the least disastrous way possible. Mankind is now doing our best to disturb what you see as "order", with too much pollution, too much fertilization, too much greenhouse gases, too much pesticides, so that what was rivers and jungles a century ago is now arid, infertile, dead. Apparently, His Handiwork is weaker than our strive for more profit for the already filthy-rich...

Yes, there are Christians who actually believe that. They accept actual Bible scholarship that says that the vast majority of the Bible was never intended to be read as objective, literal, infallable facts, but spiritual wisdom, and more importantly, they embrace science. Indeed, some, including the scholars behind the Scientific Revolution, even become scientists themselves, because the truth about God's world lies in God's world, not God's word.
Galileo Galilei was a devout Christian who searched for truth in God's creation, and he had to pay a harsh price for it. Even four centuries later, he remains a paragon of great vision and wisdom to scientists worldwide throughout all disciplines. Ray Comfort is an extremely stupid or utterly amoral conman exploiting those who reject His world in favour leading a cargo cult that rejects the world in favour of a very simplistic understanding of a book and a shame for his religion. He will be ridiculed as long as he lives, and will be forgotten very soon after his death.

Tough question. So many fascinating creatures to choose from... I think I take either the vanilla plant or the tongue louse.
The least favourite is much easier: Mosquitos, followed by fleas and ticks.

For Ray Comfort, I suspect:
Least favourite: the mistletoe (after all, his wife has to serve as body double for every kissing scene of his).
Favourite: Cerebrolavator radiusconfortitudis, a fluke from the Fundamentalistidae family, using bananas as immediate and humans as final hosts, where they feed on brain matter. Like all fundamentalistids, C. radiusconfortitudis only seems to be able to infect individuals with certain brain defects while only causing short episodes of incontrollable laughter or strong annoyance in a healthy specimen.

No ass. You have never explained why we can witness a plant grow and a leaf enfold with your magic. Why doesn't it just pop up as you really assert, from nothingness? An evolving living world need rest, rebirth and energy from nutrients and natural forces. God could just have that tree stay like that forever.

If God is so powerful he could reduce his light, according to you he sent himself to Earth as Jesus: How about Jebus, Jeb, John-Boy, Joker, Jewy, Jennifer Echoes?
