Imagine that you have a Petri dish in front of you. Here now is a biological experiment for you to conduct. Make one small drop of water. Begin with nothing in the dish, and don’t use any existing materials.

You will first need to produce hydrogen atoms from nothing, and then oxygen atoms using the same process. Then combine one oxygen atom for every two hydrogen atoms. This could take you some time as there are an estimated 1.67 sextillion molecules of H2O in a drop of water.

Step two—You will need to make an amazingly complex phenomenon called “surface tension.” This gives the water the ability to resist external forces. In other words it will allow certain insects to land on the surface without sinking. The liquid needs to be drinkable, to be able to evaporate, freeze, boil, cook, cleanse, as well as be able to be used for swimming, surfing, waterskiing, ice skating, ice hockey, snow skiing and snowboarding. Also, make it so that it will quench human thirst.

Just this manufacturing of one drop will make you instantly rich and famous, because it will mean an end to droughts, and the billions of acres of dry soils around the world will become fertile and therefore food-producing. It will mean an end to starvation.

Here’s a quick intelligence test for you to do before you start the experiment. Do you believe that water is intelligently designed? If you say that no intelligence was involved in its construction (and yet you haven’t a clue how to begin to make water yourself), where does that leave you on the intelligence scale?

So, wait a minute.

No human knows how to 'intelligently design' water. Not from nothing, anyway.

This proves that water was intelligently designed? Because humans don't know how to intelligently design water? And because if humans don't know something, God exists? Not only that, but He knows how to (and He is in fact a He, and He conforms to the Bible and is not, you know, one of the three hundred and thirty million deities of the Hindu pantheon, some of whom are She, but whatever)?

So, if God knows how to create, why not humans?

Oh my god, did you literally refute your own argument in the process of making it?

Where does that leave you on the intelligence scale, Mr Comfort?

So, here's another 'experiment'.

Take a Petri dish, with nothing in it.

Pray. Pray hard to your little sky-daddy for something to appear in your little Petri dish.

Try to convince yourself you like the Emperor's New Petri Dish Contents.

Sidenote: none of the characteristics of water you seem so enamoured by in your 'step 2' are designed, they are all a natural result of the structure of the water molecule. Its bent, like your truth, and slightly polarised.

A simple Lewis structure diagram of water would help you understand why it is bent. Its not magic. Typically, chemistry students would be able to elucidate the shape of the water molecule at GCSE level in the UK, so that's about age 14/15. So grats, you're not quite as educated as a school kid.

When hydrogen and oxygen are 2 of the top 5 elements in the universe, they happen to combine a lot..and make H20...therefore water(usually in a gas or solid form).
And surface tension just happens due to hydrogen polarity charge(? I think) of water.

Water existed long before life itself. We evolved to suit it, not the other way around.

And we can make water as a by product via chemical reactions, like combustion.

We can actually create water too via hydrogen and oxygen but it takes a lot of energy and it's very dangerous. This is why we don't do it.
The Hindenberg,when it went up in flames, created water as it was filled with hydrogen and reacted with the oxygen in the air.

This is how your God creates things, apparently. Nothing in scientific discovery, especially the formation of water, has ever been claimed to have come from nothing.

In fact Ray has repeatedly been clued into this fact that only Christians claim there was a time of nothing or that science says that. Without this huge lie of a magical creation forced onto any topic their religion topples.

This is the ass who photo-shopped a crocodiles head on a ducks body and said "This is what scientists say must exist if evolution were true".

Here's one for you Ray. Try to produce a Petrie dish with nothing in it, then cap it. I'll take my sterilized dish, cap it, stick it in the sun for a minute then into the fridge, viola! Water droplets bitch. Easy peasy. Absolute nothing, now that's hard.

First of all, we get oxygen from the CNO cycle in stellar nucleosynthesis and hydrogen was formed after the universe got cool enough for protons to capture free electrons. Not the same process!

If you heat up hydrogen peroxide it will decompose into water and O₂.

2H₂O₂ > 2H₂O+O₂

Yep. The hydrogen atoms in water are attracted to the lone electron pairs on the oxegen atoms in the water. This polarity is the cause of surface tension in water.

Cray-cray Ray-ray doesn't know it, but once you have liquid H₂O the surface tension (and all those other nice properties) comes with it, all inclusive.
