"No otakus"
In the early 1980s, "Superbook" was shown on Pat Robertson's Christian TV channel. It was made by Japan's Tatsunoko Productions, in conjunction with Pat Robertson's TV channel.
(PROTIP: Tatsunoko - whose other series "Speed Racer", "Science Team Ninja Gatchaman" [a.k.a. "Battle of the Planets"] and "Neon Genesis Evangelion" - are responsible for the creation of interest in anime outside of Japan)
"Superbook" is directly responsible for the popularity of Anime - and thus Manga & everything related - in the US, and therefore Mexico.
