This is completely horrifying! Where is the justice. The government can sentence a child molester to a 22 dollar fine but puts a christian that has offered to pay the taxes back in prison for 10 years!!!

"The government can sentence a child molester to a 22 dollar fine"
I agree that we do not punish child molesters effectively or harshly enough...but if you honestly believe that this has happened, you are legally brain dead.
"but puts a christian that has offered to pay the taxes back in prison for 10 years!!!"
First, the fact that he is Christian is meaningless, except to you. Second, since when has basically saying "I'm sorry" ever been considered a valid way to get out of being punished for breaking the law? It doesn't matter if you offer to pay for something after you are caught shoplifting it, you were still shoplifting! Tax evasion and deliberate fraud done on multiple occasions and for much higher sums of money should be punished in a comparable fashion.
Brohammer broke the law, he's gotta do his time. Maybe he'll come out with his prison rap album then. It'll definitely be more developed than his first couple of joints, they had OK beats but weak flow.
MC HOVIND IN THE HOUSE
Okay...let's say I broke into your house, and looted it. Picked. Clean. I get caught, and just before the sentencing, I show up with everything I stole, and say "Here ya go. No hard feelings, eh?" Should I be exempt from the law?
"Christian that has offered to pay the taxes back"
Do you have anything to say before I pass judgement?
Yes, your honour, I'm very sorry. To have broken so many tax laws as I did in so short a time is really, really awful.
"The government can sentence a child molester to a 22 dollar fine..."
Citation, Motherfucker, do you have it?
He does have a point, somewhat. Why do child molesters and murderers get slapped on the wrist and tax evaders get years and years in prison? However, Kent Hovind broke the law and has to pay for his crime, being a Christian has nothing to do with it.

Prove it. And I know you can't. You guys just keep making shit up, the more outrageous the more you expect people to believe it.
"a christian that has offered to pay the taxes back in prison for 10 years!!!"
He broke FEDERAL law, which has a higher penalty than state laws. Also, the only God he served was money. Get over it.

[Citation Needed], I mean parking tickets are close to $50.
puts a christian that has offered to pay the taxes back in prison for 10 years
Just when exactly did he offer to pay the taxes back?
Replace with "22-dollar fine" with "22-year imprisonment" and you'd be closer to the truth.
Plus, he wouldn't pay them back, just come up with more excuses.
I've asked this before, but, is there any evidence that Hovind has ever made a true statement on any subject? The man is a pathological liar, and like all liars, one can read what he's lying about. I could have collected his entire tax judgment in one night of poker or three card Monty.
He never offered to pay it until it was too late, he got exactly the same treatment everyone gets that goes to court and claims the law doesn't exist.
He had many opportunities to come clean, pay the taxes and fines. He refused it because he's delusional.

That's the problem. Hovind didn't offer to pay a damned dime until they slammed his cell door shut. That's why he was in court in the first place because he refused to pay even when given ample opportunity.
The fact that this only has a few thousand signatures shows exactly how many people care about Kent Hovind, because if I know fundies half as well as I think I do, they will be urging their friends to sign it as well.
Oh, and here's the truth about Hovind:
He cheated on his taxes.
When the IRS found out, he tried to cover up.
When they persisted he tried to brush them off.
They put him in jail for tax evasion.
He's preaching from jail to try and get his followers to spring him out.
*sighs* Damn it. I have to agree. Punishment for child molesters is far too light. However, if Hovind hadn't decided he was exempt from the law, he wouldn't have this problem in the first place. And now he can keep cozy company with Wesley Snipes.
I hereby sentence Kent Hovind to 10 years in prison for tax evas...
Oh? He's a Christian, you say? WELL GOSH THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!
This is horrifying! That a religious con-man who robbed every good taxpaying American with his trying to cheat and make YOU AND I pay extra taxes to make up his share, lied in court after swearing to tell the truth "SO HELP ME GOD" on a HOLY BIBLE(how's that for a sin, dumbass)can find enough gullible sheep to continue to scam with his false preaching from a jail. THERE ARE REAL CHRISTIAN MARTYRS BEING TORTURED AND DYING OVERSEAS!!! And here you are wasting time and effort that could be used helping "real Christians" under "real persecution" on a fake who mocks God by lying in his name. "Jesus wept."
Sure, child molesters get off with lighter sentences than they should, but I've never head of the one who only paid a $22 fine; can you point to the information about this? A news story would do. I mean, hell, my brother got a speeding ticket the other day and it was $175. How did someone molest a child and get off paying a smaller fine than someone doing 80 in a 65 zone?
Hovind being a so called christian has no impact what so ever on his status as a fraud, as far as the government is concerned. He did not pay his taxes. That is against the law. He is suffering the consequences of not obeying the law. He has not paid one red cent, but even if he did, that does not negate his crime.
but puts a christian that has offered to pay the taxes back in prison for 10 years
Oh, yeah, that's totally because he feels remorse, and not just because he got caught and is trying to wriggle off the hook. I bet he was doing his damndest to pay all that money back long before they arrested him.
Citation, Motherfucker, do you have it?
This, by the way, is awesome. I'm snagging it. *snag*
Confused?
