If they weren't so Christophobic, I could tolerate them, but their hate for God and Bible-believing Christians is too much to bear.

Can someone please tell me what "Southern Povery Law Center" is supposed to mean, anyways? I know they are a civil rights group, but I can't make any sense of the name. (Being German and having little interest in the USA beyond the nature in its territory, I am aware that it may be obvious in an US context, which I lack).
Does 'Bible-believing Christian', mean you understand that Jesus was brown and observed Jewish customs?
If so, this doesn't make any sense.
@Pharaoh
The SPLC started its life as an organization combating poverty in the American South, specifically Alabama, in the 1970s. This being the South, poverty and civil rights violations went hand in hand, so the SPLC dealt with both issues, but the civil rights ones became the main focus over time, as they tend to do.
They're similar to the ACLU, but with a focus on combating hate groups rather than defending legal rights.
The SPLC is an anti-civil rights group, silly-nilly. If you aim to violate civil rights, I can understand that you find them tedious, Gingham. But don't call the anti-hate-group a hate-group; that's just ridiculous. The SPLC is not Christopobic, YOU are, Gingham. If you'd meet Jesus Christ of the Bible now, you'd call him a hippie commie dark-skinned probably-Muslim foreigner, and perma-ban him from your precious Disqus Echo Chamber.
@Quasirodent :
It's just the guilty accusing the innocent of their own crimes.
Like when dictatorships who put people in dungeons issue a human rights report on the USA, or a god hates fags group accuses a gay rights group of oppressing gays
or the KKK says the NAACP is harming black people.
Or the alt-right whines about the alt-left.
As far as I know, the SPLC isn't targeting Christians but extremists like white nationalist, anti-LGBT groups and so forth.
@Pharoh
They're a non profit law firm that specializes in civil rights. They got their name from being based in the South and originally filed suits against the KKK on behalf of victims. Nowadays they monitor discrimination and extremist groups.
Confused?
