2 months ago we made a radical shift in this blog. Up until that time pretty much anyone could respectfully address the creation-evolution issue, Bible controversies, etc. But we finally decided that an orientation of “Since the Bible is true—” is more positive.
One can answer skeptics over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from God. Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries, the unrepentant sinner just can’t seem to find God no matter how hard he tries.

Ok, lets try that then. “Since the Bible is true
” Insects have four legs. Examining insects contradicts that. Therefore Reality is false.
I think you fucked up with one of your starting assumptions. I wonder which one...?
"One can answer skeptics over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from God."
One can answer fundies over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from reality.
"Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries, . . ."
What?
"the unrepentant sinner just can’t seem to find God no matter how hard he tries. "
the fundie just can’t seem to understand the facts no matter how hard he tries.
"One can answer skeptics over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from God."
The problem is that your answers to skeptics begin with "Well, the Bible says...". Since skeptics see the Bible as a book fraught with factual errors, glaring contradictions, and outright nonsense, they are unlikely to put any stock in your answer.
The problem is simple, prove god without resorting to the Bible. You can't.

The saddest thing about this, is that I think you know you're being dishonest.
Oh, yeah, the old 'the sinner chooses not to see God and accept our sound evidence' cliché. Yawn.
Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries
What he means by this is that thieves run from the cops, they don't seek them. He's implying that atheists do nothing but sit in a corner all day, telling ourselves over and over to ignore all that obvious, overwhelming evidence of God that's so visible to the fundies.
The appropriate (though still sketchy) analogy is "A sinner can't find God for the same reason a thief can't find a cop."
Still, it's the same "Unbelievers subconsciously believe but don't want to obey for selfish reasons" stuff that irritates thousands. The fact that Romans almost says this very thing is making it VERY hard for me to continue to accept the Bible as much as I once did.
"The unrepentant sinner just can’t seem to find God no matter how hard he tries."
Why the hell am I the one expected to find an omnipresent invisible sky daddy who can exist as three parts at once? If he's so great, how come he can't find me?
"One can answer fundies over and over and over, and still they will look for metaling hiding places from reality. Just as a thief just can't seem to find a police offier no matter how hard he tries, the science fearing fundie just can't seem to find reality no matter how hard he tries."
There, fixed.
Unlike God, however, police officers have stations, speed traps, patrol cars and drug busts as evidence of their existence and behavior.
God does basically nothing compared to police officers.
2 months ago we made a radical shift in this blog. Up until that time pretty much anyone could respectfully address the Coke-Pepsi issue, soda controversies, etc. But we finally decided that an orientation of “Since the Coke tastes better
” is more positive.
One can answer skeptics over and over and over, and still they will look for mental hiding places from Coke. Just as an rabbit just can’t seem to find trix no matter how hard he tries, the pepsi-drinker just can’t seem to find a Coke no matter how hard he tries.
"Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries..."
I suspect the large number of thieves in jail proves otherwise.
"...the unrepentant sinner just can’t seem to find God no matter how hard he tries."
So if he is trying his best and still failing, what culpability does he bear?
Since the Bible is true...
The world is flat
The Earth is the center of the universe and all science is wrong
You can sell your daughters into prostitution (as long as they pay their tithes I assume)
There is no point in bettering our society because all the "good" people will be leaving soon anyway
People with Jesus fish on the back of their cars are allowed to run red lights... (I've never seen this one in the Bible but I'm assuming it's true since all Christians seem to follow this belief)
2 months ago we made a radical shift in this blog. Without our federally convicted master of lying, the rest of us braindead sheep were tired of getting our asses handed to us on a regular basis. Unlike our liar leader Kent who could convince the not-so-bright that his trailer park degree meant something with fancy words, no matter how incorrectly used or dubiously factless and his snakeoil slimyness, we just aren't clever or crooked enough to pull it off. We are simply stupid followers incapable of our own thoughts(otherwise we might wonder why we follow a supposed CHRISTIAN preacher who was convicted of lying in federal court AFTER SWEARING TO TELL THE TRUTH ON A HOLY BIBLE!).-fixed.
Well, though I have little use for the cops - I am able to see them. I know they are there. IF I should choose to call them up, I may do so - physically - it's easy. Yet I do not revere the phone book.
God - not so much. I quit looking for that crowd when I was about 8. They exited by the same door as The Easter Bunny, Santa Claus, and my invisible friend.
"Just as a thief just can’t seem to find a police officer no matter how hard he tries"
Oh, so that's why your founder didn't fess up to his tax fraud?
There's a police station on my route to the supermarket. I see police almost every time I go shopping.
There's a church across the street from my home, and several others within a few square miles. I've never, ever, ever seen your god.
"One can answer skeptics over and over and over"
When did CSE answer even the simpliest question? Look, you can use that sentence when and only when you have actually provided an answer. Not a vaguely related Bible verse, not one of Kents ridiculous unsubstantiated claims, and not some doubletalk formed analogy that can be debunked in seconds.
Oh and overall, while talking about CSE: Stop lying!
Although it probably wasn't this sounds like parody. "God of the gaps" turned into "mental hiding places from God". For this to make sense, you'd have to first demonstrate that God is there. But censorship is classical with fundamentalism, since it's the only way to hide from reality once again. Ironically it's all irrelevant, considering that evolution was a discovery made when honestly studying nature and all the evidence there is for it. Although there is an ideological motive to deny it and remain as ignorant as possible.
Confused?
