"Brothers and Sisters , I have been seriously considering forming a ( Christian ) grassroots type of organization to be named "The Christian National Registry of Atheists" or something similar . I mean , think about it . There are already National Registrys for convicted sex offenders , ex-convicts , terrorist cells , hate groups like the KKK , skinheads , radical Islamists , etc.."

For two reasons, no less:
1- It's completely legal to be an Atheist in every decent, civilised, democratic country - including the US. And - unlike said sex offenders , ex-convicts , terrorist cells , hate groups like the KKK , skinheads , radical Islamists , etc, we don't speak, think or act like them. Tony Alamo, Timothy McVeigh, Scott Roeder et al ring any bells, Mikey-boy?
2- As for Atheists here in the UK like yours truly, we have a little something called the Data Protection Act. Even the FBI, CIA & NSA have to ask permission of our Home Secretary to look at databases of British nationals in this country.
So good luck with that, pal.
