I remember years ago I always hear about these ninja turtles, but I usually don't pay attention to it because it's made for kids.
Recently I keep seeing the commercials for the new ninja turtles movie, and my sister said she's taking her son to see it when it comes out.
Out of curiosity I decided to look up on Wikipedia on the teenage mutant ninja turtles cartoon show. It say there that a rat becomes a guardian of a couple of turtles ever since they were little (and now their teenagers).
I get that the cartoon(based on Wikipedia) say it started in 1987 so policies revolving around gay adoption wasn't really around at the same time, but today it is.
Because the topic of gay adoption is brought up a lot in today's world, it kind of worries me what if this new kids movie purposely try to use the whole "turtles being raised by a rat" as a metaphor on why gays should be allowed to adopt kids?!
Children being raised by gay adults is a form of child abuse whether the liberal Nazis want to agree with me or not. It's bad enough that in certain areas of America they allow gays to adopt children, but the idea of supporting that immoral type of behavior in a kids movie is much worst!
They already put a gay character in ParaNormon which is just wrong because the target audience is children, and I'm hoping that the new ninja turtles movie isn't another example of the liberal Nazis trying to force their sick values on us.
What are your thoughts?

Liberal Nazis?? Isn't that, like, a contradiction in terms? And they are going to force sick values like love, caring and family on you! Yay!

They are turtles, and they are raised by a rat; it's all fictional, silly!
What does it matter which sexual orientation a single parent has, anyway?
Nazis are very, VERY far from Liberal, stupid. They are ultra conservative and ultra right-wing, and they are even more homophobic than you are.
If you don't want children raised by gay adults, are you pro-choice? Abortion rights tend to reduce the number of children up for adoption significantly .
Children mostly doesn't care what their parents do in the privacy of their bedroom, most find all that adult stuff icky. So, as long as it's all tucked away, it doesn't matter whether parents are gay or straight, to the kids (as long as they are not taught by adult or older kids that gay equals bad, that is).
We are hoping that you're not trying to force your sick values on us.
"They already put a gay character in ParaNormon which is just wrong because the target audience is children"
Rick Riordan, former high school teacher and author of the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" series and its sequel series "The Heroes of Olympus", had this to say in response to being asked if it was appropriate for him to make one of the (teenaged) main characters of his series gay:
"The idea that we should treat sexual orientation itself as an adults-only topic is absurd. Non-heterosexual children exist. To pretend they do not, to fail to recognize that they have needs for support and validation like any child, would be bad teaching, bad writing and bad citizenship."
That's the best articulated response I've ever read to the irritatingly common "media aimed at children shouldn't have gay people in it" idiocy spouted by Pillowpants_O here.
Where the fuck did you get the idea that Splinter was gay just...gah? what is wrong with your brain?!
He's doing it on his own, he's the only anthro rat in the cartoons to my knowledge. Are all male single parents or parental figures you see gay?!
What is wrong with your brain, why is it broken!?

Huh... wha...?
Splinter's a rat that raised a bunch of turtles to be super-cool, pizza-eating martial arts masters. So, uh... that means that Splinter's gay, and he's raising the turtles to be gay? What do ninjas have to do with gayness?
Ibuki's gotta say, she has no idea what Pillowpants-chan is trying to say here. Can someone translate this?
I could see a connection to inter-racial adoptions, but same-sex parenting seems like a stretch, seeings as how Splinter is alone. Maybe rats are a common symbol for gay people in some circles?
Also, I'll agree with you that gay people shouldn't be in children's media if and only if there are also no straight people.
What the hell is a liberal Nazi? Someone who puts gays in death camps but allows them to get married there? Are they people who are all for imprisoning Muslims, Jews, atheists, Catholics who are against the Nazis, Jehova's Witnesses, etc. and working them to death but against anyone discriminating against them?
What. The. Fuck???
OK, I thought it was crazy when Disney's "Frozen" was being called gay propaganda, but a rat adopting four turtles and raising them a metaphor for gay adoption?
Why do these nutcases see homosexuality in every single fucking movie and kid's cartoon that comes out these days? Jesus Christ they're so obsessed with the gay that they're checking under their beds and in their closets for gays before they go to bed every night.
Um....Splinter appears Asexual in all incarnations I've seen (although I admit I didn't read the comics).
I think you're so interested in teh geigh that you're looking really, really hard to find it wherever you look.
Oh come on, you're calling the fucking Ninja Turtles gay? That's just absurd! How did you even come up with that?! It was meant to be a piss take of superheroes before they evolved into their own superheroes, and will be devolved with the upcoming Michael Bay abomination. That's it.
Also, aren't gays in your mind all scarf-wearing limp-wristed FAAAAAABULOUS pretty boys? Because that doesn't fit with ninjas. Everyone knows Ninjas are the ultimate expression of manliness!

How can it be gay adoption when it's one person? Also, the kids and your sister are old enough (and smart enough) to know that IT'S JUST A MOVIE.
My thoughts are the you are a complete lunatic.
Raising children in a household where they are lied to about fairies and scared by eternally tormenting monsters...well THAT is abuse, you sick fuck.
And I know it has been said above but, liberal nazis? Really? Can you be that out of touch?
*face palm*
I don't know why someone called Pillowpants is so upset about gay people (I mean, have you had your pants "fluffed" recently?), but here's the deal: it is not a metaphor. There is never hint of sexual preference in any of the TMNT comics or the old movie. The only feelings the Turtles exhibit towards Splinter the rat are the feelings of sons to a father.
Oh, and ParaNorman is a animated film about how stupid intolerance is. It's amusing people still fall into their trap.
Ninja turtles are homosexuals? Or is Splinter Homosexual?
Liberal Nazis?
Wow, those are some awesome mental gymnastics.
I would give you a gold medal for trying to make reality bend and twist to your conceptions, which would make Kafka and Dali dizzy.

It worries me that an adult sees Teh Ghey Agenda in a cartoon involving talking animals.
They're always doing this.
There's no definite or even remote gay vibe about Splinter, there's no agenda behind this concept since the beginning that would be considered gay. The bad guys have some Nazi luggage but then again, dontcha all? I'm looking at you Christianity.
It's competition again. Pure and simple.
NO OTHER story should exist with a level of popularity that competes with their STUPID religion. They attack ANY STORYLINE with a following.
Splinter is almost always an aromantic single male. In the most recent cartoon, he used to have a wife before he adopted the turtles but that's it. There never has been, and probably will never be, any canon indication of him being gay.

Wow. Someone just has to shove their hate boner and paranoia into everything, apparently.
Surprised to read that ParaNorman actually does have an openly gay character in it. I assumed this would be more insane projection. Well, good on ParaNorman, then.
Splinter isn't gay. Hell, the 2012 series gave him a wife, though she was killed before the events of the series proper.
Not that it would matter if he WAS gay, but there you go.
"What are your thoughts?"
That you've never read the original comics by Kevin Eastman & Peter Laird in the 'Alternative Comics' era in the 1980s. [/"Cerebus the Aardvark", "Albedo", "Cutey Bunny"]
Rather dark & edgy they were, as befitted that particular comics scene; completely different to the sanitised cartoon series much later . If anything, more along the lines of Frank Miller's "Dark Knight Returns" comics for DC. Light years away from the camp image of TV's Caped Crusader, they were.
Would you say that "Batman" comic's target audience was children, Pillowbiter...?
How do you get from a single guardian, to gay adoption?
The Nazis were conservative, ultra-right-wing and dictatorial, the very opposite of liberal.
Studies say that children raised by same-sex parents fare no worse than children raised by opposite-sex parents.
Again, the rat is a SINGLE PARENT (or rather guardian), not a same-sex couple.
My thoughts are that you're a homophobe.
Apparently it worked well with the turtles last time around; it will be fine this time too.
Confused?
