I looked at targets site and only saw one, but it looked really dumb.
its said it was a mushroom tree, thats an insult to mushrooms!
I wouldn't be surprised if it was some attempt at going against christainity...

Actually, if you want to see something "going against christianity", take a look at the commercialism of christimas... and its working perfectly, I may add.
But hey, nevermind that ;-)
Considering the practice of placing gifts under the tree was a pagan tradition, the whole concept of the christmas tree goes against the Bible and christianity. Should it matter that it is upside down?
Christmas Mushroom - that has a ring to it!
I am stuffing my christmas mushroom with crab and breadcrumbs this year!
jeremiah 10:1-4
Hear what the LORD says to you, O house of Israel. This is what the LORD says:
"Do not learn the ways of the nations
or be terrified by signs in the sky,
though the nations are terrified by them.
For the customs of the peoples are worthless;
they cut a tree out of the forest,
and a craftsman shapes it with his chisel.
They adorn it with silver and gold;
they fasten it with hammer and nails
so it will not totter.

Imagine if you live in an apartment with limited floor space but still want to celebrate with a big tree. This gives you the spectacle, but still allows you to pile presents AND get past the display to reach the light switch.
But, you know, only liberals are open to change and new ideas, so you conservatives would prefer to stick with the problem.
“its said it was a mushroom tree, thats an insult to mushrooms!”
Small footprint, wide display… WHat’s insulting about it?
“I wouldn't be surprised if it was some attempt at going against christainity.”
And what part of the New Testament describes the Judaic tradition of evergreens? Shifting Christmas to the date of the pagan celebration the church could not stop is a lot closer to being anti-Christain, what with making the holiday palatable by stealing it.
If i was going against Christainity, i’d make a second Little Drummer Boy claymation where he meets the pagans who won’t stop their heresy, so he convinced the church ‘if you can’t beat ’em,’ and the rest is hidden history.
Confused?
