Mr. Robertson is making the same mistake William Jennings Bryan did in the Scopes trial, he allows for an interpretation of millions of years, this is exactly why the teaching of evolution became mainstream science taught in our schools and misled millions of children. One spiritual fact that is not discussed in this issue is, Faith opens your eyes to the truth and unbelief closes them to the truth. It may seem obvious to you that science is correct and the Earth geology shows millions of years in the universe, but I must tell you that my eyes of faith show just the opposite and it is so obvious that I can't believe you can't see it. Sorry to tell you this but maybe you should consider having faith for a while and see what it does for your vision?

Yeah the "Days could mean something different to God" argument. It is a standard Old Earth creationist argument. It's bullshit with no scientific backing. I love when Young Earth Creationists attack Old Earth Creationists. Both sides are wrong but one side is much much more wrong.

No, honey, you've got it backwards. Science opens our eyes to evidence, and belief closes our eyes to reality.

Oh, and the Earth geology shows BILLIONS of years in the Universe, not just millions. It is so obvious that I can't believe you can't see it.

No, this is not even part of it. Evolution became mainstream science because of the evidence for it. People who actually examined the evidence acknowledged the science.
And many of them were theists. There just aren't enough atheists to force anything like this into mainstream science.
And it's taught in schools because it IS mainstream science.

Nothing to do with whether or not you allow 6 days or 6 sorta-days to be the Spiritual Truth.
Whether or not your superstition tradition, or individual members of the tradition, can come to terms with the findings of science is independent of whether or not it becomes mainstream.

When Pat Robertson isn't fundie enough for you.

Pat Robertson is an old earth creationist so there are a LOT of christians more fundie then him. He at least doeant deny the age of the Earth.

The universe was created last Thursday - I thought everyone knew that.
