To me I believe that everyone that has heard of God believes in him. Because you take an atheist, claims that God doesn't exist, but when something goes wrong in their life, what do they do? They run to a Christian begging them to pray for their situation. If they don't believe in God then why ask someone to pray? Their carnal mind can't comprehend God spiritualy, but they know that he exists.

Fundies have that same problem with reality.
As for the first question..They examine the situation and find a solution.
And which atheist begs again?
Try rethinking your comment again. I know it's hard working against the dumb...but try anyway.
Speaking as an ex-fundie, I would punch the first Xtian that offered to pray for me, then stomp on his face, singing "Fa lalalala lalalala"
Funny how the Bible has answers to everything...but every time a Xian has something go wrong in their life they have to go running to someone more informed and educated (doctor/lawyer/engineer/librarian/accountant...). Has the Bible EVER solved any of their problems?
If an atheist turns to religion they were never truly an atheist anyway, they were an agnostic.
@Michael
Is that to the tune of "Deck the Halls"? Seasonal!
Even if I wanted to run to an xtian and ask them to pray for me, I don't know any! And I'm so happy that way.
Also, why would this hypothetical atheist run to someone to ask them to pray? If they're so keen on the idea, why don't they pray themseves? It's because you're lying isn't it Rebecca? Come on, you can tell us.

"Two weeks ago, I was rushed by ambulance to a hospital where it was determined by c-t scan that I had a "dissection of the aorta"the lining of the main output vessel carrying blood from my heart had been torn up, creating a twochannel pipe where there should only be one. [...] After a nine-hour surgery, in which my heart was stopped entirely and my body and brain were chilled down to about 45 degrees to prevent brain damage from lack of oxygen until they could get the heart-lung machine pumping, I am now the proud possessor of a new aorta and aortic arch, made of strong Dacron fabric tubing sewn into shape on the spot by the surgeon, attached to my heart by a carbon-fiber valve that makes a reassuring little click every time my heart beats.
"[...] But I am not joking when I say that I have had to forgive my friends who said that they were praying for me. I have resisted the temptation to respond "Thanks, I appreciate it, but did you also sacrifice a goat?" I feel about this the same way I would feel if one of them said "I just paid a voodoo doctor to cast a spell for your health.""

I have never run to a Christian to ask him or her to pray for me. Some have offered to do so in kindness (I live in the South and don't advertise my atheism), and I accept that with the grace and humility due the good intentions of the person offering them, even though I don't believe they will do any good.
If they don't believe in God then why ask someone to pray?
Do they, or did Rebecca just make this nonsense up?
They run to a Christian begging them to pray for their situation.
I bet your pastor told you that, and he made it up. You don't actually know any atheists.
I have never, never, I repeat NEVER, asked for a Christian to pray for me. If I thought that it did any good, I wouldn't be an atheist, you twit.
and God believers, as soon as anything goes wrong, rather than rely on their god, seek the help of science; medical, technical etc. They readily abandon or show doubt in their god as soon as they have to deal with a real situation. Put your faith in your god up front, when you or your child is ill or injured, just prey and seek no help from the instruments of science, then maybe people might believe that you really do have faith, misguided as it may be.
In a period of turbulence I asked for a Christian to pray. That's right, I did. However, I want it to be known that I made this request because I figured if she was praying, she would have less time, and be less inclined to berate me about finding God while I was vulnerable. Whaddaya know, it didn't work.
I'm never using that strategy again.
"To me I believe that everyone that has heard of God believes in him."
I heard of dragons and genies too but it does not prove that I believe in them. But you're not alone in your particular delusion. Certainly, Muslims believe that everyone who has heard of Allah believes in him (otherwise it would be wrong for Allah to throw all the infidels into Hell, and we all know Allah is a god of love).
Well shit... with all the crap that's gone on in my life, I've not once gone running to a Christian asking them to pray for me.
"Oh no! I'm being raped! I'd better run to a Christian and ask them to pray for me... What a stroke of luck, I've got one pinning me to the floor right now..."
Does that mean that an atheist in India run to a Hindu to ask him to pray for him? Does an agnostic run only half the time? Does a fundie goofball named Rebecca D make up some really dumb shit? I'm sure that the last one is true, about the others, I kinda fucking doubt it.
Piss on you and your STUPID FUCKING CULT, you worthless cunt. It's YOU dirty fucking xians who continually fall back on this lame ass apologetic about how everybody who thinks you're completely full of shit really believes your bullshit to be true in their heart of hearts.
Of course we all know that the truth is the exact opposite. You go around saying this kind of shit because YOU know in your heart of hearts that there's no invisible man in the sky, no popsicle stick messiah, no mother with her hymen intact.
Just go fuck the fuck off.
"To me I believe that everyone that has heard of God believes in him."
FAIL. The Bible made me an atheist, and I'm not the only one.
"but when something goes wrong in their life, what do they do? They run to a Christian begging them to pray for their situation."
FAIL. No one does this. How can you expect to convert atheists by making false claims about what they believe and experience? The only atheists I know of who have converted to Christianity were raised strongly religious in the first place, and only converted at the point of senility in any case.
"Their carnal mind can't comprehend God spiritualy, but they know that he exists."
FAIL. Why can't we detect God scientifically. Why has "God" never given the same message to any two separate cultures in the entire history of mankind? Is he fucking with us? Why would I worship such a cruel prick?
umm.. no, just no.. In fact, I had surgery back in July and my best friend (baptist) said that her church was praying for me and it made me feel very uncomfortable. She also asked if I'd like to sit down with her pastor and pray together..
My answer - a resounding no.
Confused?
