If true Christians had the power in the U.S. there would be so fewer secular laws.
Since they are not, we have so many laws for so many things that shouldn't have to be, that it is almost insane!
Non-Christians can never understand the Lord's teaching of true freedom through obedience to His New Testament commandments. Non-Christians see obedience to His teaching as kind of miserable slavery. They do not see the true slavery of endless secular laws from the result of a society in rebellion against the Lord.

Yeah, let's bring back the New Testament commandments. No divorce. No gold, pearls, or designer dresses for women. Give to anyone who asks you. If someone presses you into service, do double what is demanded. I wonder how soon it will be before you start screaming for a return of that nasty old secular society.
True Christians have been in power long before and, unless they have allowed raping, stealing or crimes in the net, I don't see what's your point. What we have done and well, is separating religion from politics, and honestly, sincere Christian(no theocracy fans like you, or even you too in the very bottom), muslims, atheist, buddists and Jewish alike are more or less happy.
I wonder if you think the 10 Commandments and "New Testament commandments" are the same thing?
Regardless, instituting a theocracy would result in disaster. Remember that whole First Amendment? Yea, that's part of what this nation was founded on. Deal with it.
"Give unto Caesar what is Caesar's"
Jesus didn't want a theocracy, just for people to get along and stop being asses to eachother. To set an example , not embarass him by committing atrocities in his name.

True freedom according to your god is doing what god says or go to hell. that is not true freedom, that's barely faux-freedom.
New Testament commandments? There are rules jebus gives to live by, but no new set of commandments for jesus said that he has come to enforce the old laws, not change them.
I am lost on your slavery through secular laws bit. What the hell does that mean? Every society has secular laws, how is living by rules, slavery? You talk of giving your self, your soul and your life to your god and you call everyone else slaves?
Let's take a look in the fundie dictionary:
Free-dom (n) : Being a slave to God. See slavery .
Sla-ver-y (n) : Having an open and free mind, being skeptical, and thinking things that are not of the Lord. See freedom .
Except;
Secular laws are sensible, begining with: you don't have to belong or obey a church.
Imagine the worst, most Islamic theocracy you can. Christians have already done the worst you can imagine and , after reading fundie wishes, you know they want to do again.
The only New Testament commandments I know are "love thy neighbor as thyself", "judge not that ye be not judged", "know thyself"...basically help others out, seek knowledge and be kind to one another.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
