Christianity is not being superstitious. Superstition is any belief that is inconsistent with known facts or rational thought.

I mean that if the romans were successful in destroying scriptures one could have collected writings from the commoners and put the bible back together word for word. There is more secular writings about Jesus than Julius Ceaser.

Another thing you can look at, that is secular is the reson we are in the year 2003 AD and 2004 years ago it 1 BC. If he was not an important figure in His day do you honestly think the secular world would have recorded time based upon His life?
