"What Has Feminism Really Done To Us?"
Reg: 'All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?!'
Attendee: 'Brought peace?'
-"Monty Python's Life of Brian"
They certainly brought us in ancient Britain many innovations:

Then came the Dark Ages. The rest is history (pun intended).
And since legislation that makes homophobia a criminal offence (especially with the police's Zero Tolerance policy, re Hate Crime), coupled with greater acceptance of LGBT people here in the UK, the fact gay men have greater rights (certainly compared to years ago), has affected me - a straight man - exactly this much:
Zero.
Equally (no pun intended), the equality of women, I have just six words that blows your argument not just out of the water, but the space-time continuum as a whole:
World War Two. Rosie the Riveter.
Now, what has right-wing Fundamentalist Christianity ever done for us...?
Take your time, Walt. But I won't be holding my breath.
@Goosey
"I was going to make a rational point about this, but...
"Pilotesses"?
Hahaha."
Mayhaps Walt was actually referring to Pirotess:

It's easy for the hard of thinking such as Walt to become confused between the two. 'Pirotess'. 'Pilotess'. Oh, and speaking of the latter...:

Walt had better not watch the anime series "Stratos 4"/Stratos 4 Advance"*, if he knows what's good for him. And not just for the main characters Honjyou Mikaze & co. (above), the 'Meteor Sweepers', all of whom are female (it's not mentioned if other 'MS' squadrons based in other parts of the world have male pilots too). The 'Comet Blasters' - teams of orbitally-based pilots of 'Lifting Body'-type craft equipped with detachable nuclear devices designed to break apart incoming comets/asteroids (said 'Meteor Sweepers' then destroy the incoming fragments into smaller chunks that burn up harmlessly in the atmosphere) consist solely of women.

He'd better not watch "Star Trek", neither. Sexism doesn't exist in the Romulan Star Empire. There have been female Praetors; it's commonplace for women to be Commanders (example: Donatra, commander of the Valdore-class Warbird in the film "Star Trek: Nemesis"):

The Tal Shiar, the feared 'Secret Police' in the Romulan Star Empire (who in most cases, answer only to the Praetor him/herself) mainly consists of women.
Have I blown your mind, Walt? This concept will: Two words: Valentina Tereshkova.

*- Which features as one of the 'Meteor Sweeper' aircraft, the BAC TSR-2, the best British warplane that never was (damn you, Denis Healey!). At least Studio Fantasia realised it's greatness and even though only two intact planes now exist, it realised it's true role - albeit in anime form - as saving the world. BTW, I can recommend "Stratos 4", it's basically a cross-between "Armageddon" and "The Right Stuff", with elements of "The X-Files" sprinkled in (it even has it's own version - albeit a benevolent equivalent - of the 'Cigarette Smoking Man'!).
