Fred Phelps and his scrum are Democrats.
They hate the military!

It's not about Democrat or Republican, it's about liberal or conservative. Although they've switched parties, conservatives have always been the anti-freedom, anti-minority, anti-equality ones.
Yes he is a Democrat; he registered as one. And so what if he hates the military? I'm leftist and hate the military, but I'm NOTHING like him.
I would assume here is a person who, after seeing Democrats hand Bush deadline after deadline, assumes all Democrats hate the military.
Wow - are you sure about that? Being that he's hate filled and hell bent on using the military to promote his own agenda, regardless of the cost to them --- Well really, that says Republican most of the time doesn't it?
And fags too, don't forget it. Well, and America, Ireland, Sweden............by the way, the Soviets loved he military, does it make them Republican?.
He's probably only democrat because Bush hasn't declared homosexuality illegal yet, which can only mean that the republicans must be gays themselves.
That's always seemed to be his logic from what I've seen.
I might be listed as a Democrat somewhere, too, if only because I wanted to vote in a primary election -- you can do so for only ONE party, not both. That doesn't make me a member of the party as far as I'm concerned, though.
Phelps ran for office once, and to do so he had to register as a member of some party (and surely found it better strategy to ally himself with an established party rather than create his own). But considering that he harangues them almost as much as anyone else, I'm sure his affiliation as a Democrat is no more than label-thickness deep. As for his "scrum," whatever that is, I don't think you can generalize political party according to whether the said group "hates the military" or not. And Democrats certainly don't have any platform against the military anyway -- the insinuation that they do is monstrously absurd.
