"'Christian rock' has hindered my life because the only difference between 'Christian rock' and secular rock is the words. The beat, rhythm, and the melody are not different; they are the same.
"It does not matter whether I listen to secular or 'Christian rock,' when the songs are over, I feel the same. I feel an emptiness in my soul, a heavy burden. Even 'Christian rock' sometimes makes me feel like going out and getting rowdy or even hurting someone else if they provoke me, and that is against all of God's teachings, and everything God stands for. So get rid of all rock!!!"

Well, there's a biblical solution for you. The bible says, "If thine eye offend thee, pluck it out." In your case, a nice, sharp icepick through the ear-canal should do the trick.
"Even 'Christian rock' sometimes makes me feel like going out and getting rowdy or even hurting someone else if they provoke me, and that is against all of God's teachings"
Wow, do only atheists read the Bible now, because I can assure you that the bulk of God's "teachings" are all about hurting people, usually just for believing in the wrong god.
I don't know about you but rock makes me feel more alive, even a little bit.
I can't stand Christian music (the stuff you hear on the radio). It's not the lyrics but the music itself. It's just so not something that I would leave on or turn it up. Take every type of music in existant and remove the singing. Christian music pales in comparison. Why is it that church music sounds (and that's for worship)?
I listen to music for beat, rhthym, melody, singing, etc. Lyrics, I care less.
That's funny, it no type of music has that effect on me. So maybe you should accept that this is your problem, and not the music's, and go see a shrink.
If music makes you psychotic, you should probably seek some help.
This makes me think of a joke I heard recently:
Q: Why don't baptist's have sex standing up?
A: It might lead to dancing.
Your problem does not come from music. It comes from within. And probably had a bit of help from brainwashing.
No JNF, I am Pagan, I have read the Bible. Not just atheists.
I think I will keep my rock music. Especially Dethklok, Children of Bodom, Six Feet Under and Cannibal Corpse. Maybe it is me but the music makes me want to laugh and or have a mosh pit. Christian rock makes me want to stab my ears though. And you are not unlike other Christians Student. Many of them seem to want to hurt others and kill them for believing differently. And don't care that it gives the majority a bad name
You don't like rock? Not even Christian rock?
Then don't frellin' LISTEN to it!
Let the rest of us have our rock music, and you can go listen to whatever hymns you fancy. That's the civilized way to do things.
~David D.G.
If you're saying that Christian rock is evil, then I can agree with that. In the immortal words of Hank Rutherford Hill:
"You're not making Christianity better, you're just making rock and roll worse!"
"the only difference between 'Christian Rock' and secular rock is the words",..the music, the musical talent, the singing ability, the music quality, the arrangements, the recording quality, and the overall performance level. Other than that Christian rock music is almost as good as real rock. No I'm lying, it sucks giant mammouth dicks and anyone comparing the two needs to get the dogshit out of his ears.
You don't like rock, so your solution is to get rid of it? There you go...
Get some professional help.
Even 'Christian rock' sometimes makes me feel like going out and getting rowdy or even hurting someone else if they provoke me, and that is against all of God's teachings, and everything God stands for.
That's your problem, it's not our fault that you can't control yourself. If you don't like rock, don't listen to it.

Maybe the problem isn't rock music, but your lack of self control. If music makes you want to go out and hurt someone, you have bigger issues than the type of music you listen to. Quit blaming other things for your own weaknesses and failings.
Well that's your fault for being empty inside.
DragonForce just makes me want to play Final Fantasy, though they are technically metal.
(He's probably counting indie-rock, so...)
Hm. Get rid of my rock music, you say? Let me think about this for a min-- NO.
I don't like most rap, doesn't mean it should be banned from the face of the earth. It doesn't make me violent either.
Although music effects the emotions, if it actually makes you feel violent, then maybe you need help.
That site is a fucking goldmine! Amazing how every single one of them blames rock music for their "moral" disasters. Jesus, they're 15, 16 year olds. Could it maybe be the fucking HORMONES of normal teenagers?
"Even 'Christian rock' sometimes makes me feel like going out and getting rowdy or even hurting someone else if they provoke me"
that's called energy, you have too much of it. go smoke a joint

Damn, better keep the ApologetiX CDs away from him, then.
But...Rock music is fun! It makes for great music for cardio.
Christian Rock makes me wanna stab my eardrums out for some reason, though. In fact, most Christian imitations of non-Christian genres of music make me want to stab my eardrums out with a fork.
(On that note, I hate the word "secular". Makes me cringe.)
Look, if Christian Rock makes you want to knock heads, then you have a mental ailment.
I shudder to think what would happen if you listened to Slayer.
Christian rock has had no impact on my life, whatsoever. I find it non-appealing, so I refrain from listening to it. Some ordinary rock, I can listen to for a while. Being on an AC/DC concert made me want to jump up and down with joy and sing along with the (few) verses I knew. I felt a togetherness and a collective happines in that stadium. No anger, no emptiness, no budding sociopathy. Just because rock makes you stupid, doesn't mean everyone else is the same.
The music made by our Christian songbird Carola makes me cringe, I rush to the radio or TV to shut it off as soon as I can. But, she's free to sing like that if she wants, just as I'm free to not listen to it.
Metal trumps ALL.
End of discussion.
'Christian Rock'. One of the great oxymorons. And speaking of morons, proof of such:
Stryper.
And proof that the Devil has all the best tunes.

Two Words: Iron Maiden.
@Anon-e-moose
In a place where evolution is discussed daily, you can understand how the venerable Iron Maiden has become a precursor to many things that put all other genres to shame.
All the proof I need: Oblivion by Mastodon
