Science has no moral value, so in science there is no such thing as evil.
Nor should it. Science and the scientific method is a process not a worldview
If we are going to hand our Nation over to science as our God
First, The United States as a nation is not now, nor has it ever been beholden to any "god". It is a nation of many peoples with many varied religions, none of which is held to be more true or valid than any other. No one is goig to replace your "god" as the US religious figurehead, because the US has no religious figurehead to replace!
Second, Nobody outside of the extreme fringe of religious fundamentalism sees science as some divine concept. People do not look for science to provide them with a system of morality because that isn't what science does, it does't hand down divine dictates from on high.
abandoning our roots in the Bible
Your "roots" you sanctimonius fuck, not mine, nor millions of your fellow citizens, each oe of whom is, whether you like it or not, every bit as american as yourself. And I for one, am sick and fucking tired of you holier-than-thou types acting as if non christians should bow and scrape in deference to christians for "allowing" us to live here
we are going to end up with something that no good man can stand to live in,
And what exactly do you consider to be "good"? Because I highly suspect that your idea of "good" is subjective at best,, and based entirely on your ability to use scripture to rationalize your own actions, no matter how heinous.
as no innocence or possesion will not be exploited and destroyed for anothers mans pleasure.
So why is that not happening in in countries where cristianity, or any of the abrahamic religions are funtionally non existent
Science does not believe in innocence, love, joy, peace or God.
First, Science has no "beliefs", or unquestionable dogmas. Science deals in facts and evidence, not the blind faith of religion.
Those things are not scientific, and cannot be measured.
You are right, as abstract concepts they cannot be measured, but they don't invalidate science simply because they fall outside it's purview. It's the equivalent of saying "String theory is bunk because it doesn't account for peanut butter
However science, and our government is interested in the levels of attraction gay men have for what lengths of penis. That is measureable and is worth spending millions of tax dollars on.
I doubt the US government commissioned that research and I'm even more doubtful that was paid for with taxpayer money.
Like Bob Dillon said, “You gotta serve somebody, it may be the devil or it may be the Lord, but your gonna have to serve somebody.
Who the fuck is Bob Dillon?
