(Not fundie per se, but since Juggalos are kinda a cult, I am submitting anyway.)

An ax-wielding man demanding to hear an Insane Clown Posse song was arrested Monday after an hours-long standoff in front of Kiss 108 studios in Medford, Mass., WBZ-TV reported.

A little after 1:30 p.m. Monday, police responded to 911 calls about a man in a red car who was wielding weapons and complaining about his failed attempt to request My Axe by the Insane Clown Posse.

"He got out of his car with a machete, stopped a girl who worked up on the second floor and said 'I want you to play a song for me,'" Doreen Schaivone WBZ-TV, the CBS station in Boston.

State police and SWAT officers with the North East Metropolitan Law Enforcement Council spent three-hours trying to take the man, later identified by police as 38-year-old Richard Newton, into custody NECN-TV reported.

According to NECN-TV, people reported that Newton was drinking beer in his car.

Dylan Sprague, vice president of programming at iheartradio.com, which owns the radio station, told the Boston Herald, Newton never contacted the station about playing the song, but said employees heard him talking about it.

“He definitely was talking about requesting a song,” Sprague said.

Newton later surrendered and was taken to the hospital for medical evaluation, Lt. Joseph Casey told theBoston Herald.

“He was obviously undergoing some sort of crisis,” Casey said.
