Where are you going to store your arsenal of nuclear weapons, tanks, chinooks and warships? How are you going to keep them secret from the prying eyes of the statist menace? How are you going to afford this? How are you going to keep your transactions secret?

I agree that the regular citizen should be able to possess the same as the military. I just wonder how the regular citizen is going to afford a fighter jet and it's ammo. I mean an F-15 costs around $100,000,000 a plane. I certainly can't afford something like that on an average income.
If you read between the lines he's arguing for oligarchy or at least something akin to a dictatorship of robber barons as feudal warlords, like the 20s but less restrained. He wants Triangle Shirtwaist factories on every corner and a fire in them every day to punish people for the crime of being poor.
In the event of sales of all weapons being deregulated, it won't be private citizens acquiring tanks, bombers and fighter jets. Or nukes. (I just typed 'nikes'.)

Heavy machine guns and rocket launchers would be bought by a few rich aficionados, though organised crime groups would be the real beneficiaries. Terrorist atrocities would continue but would simply be buried in the avalanche of violence.
