"have no problem hearing demons. I am thankful that I know the difference between myself and a demon now."
@Pule Thamex
"I can understand Jake worshiping Bible God and Family as they are well known as the gods of mental illness and insanity, so it's only natural. But why do so many apparently sane people worship them? That's a toughie to figure out."
The only time I hear voices in my head, is when I have my headphones on, and I'm listening to a podcast on my MP3 player (usually BBC Radio 5's Mark Kermode film reviews, and/or Dr. Karl's science Q&A). See, Jake & all other fundies? A completely rational explanation, and why I don't need to be sent to the nut farm. The sooner fundies admit that the so-called 'Holy Spirit' they claim to hear whilst 'praying' is nothing more than their own insane internal dialogue, the better for them to acknowledge that - like alcoholics & drug addicts - admitting is more than half the battle won in becoming sane, and joining the rest of us on Planet Reality.
Those who have stated here that it's meds which prevent them from hearing voices, thus admit they previously had a problem, proves they have already won the (internal) war. When Sun Tzu said in his "The Art of War" 'Know your enemy and know yourself, and you will not be imperiled in a hundred battles', seems he subconsciously (pun may or may not be intended) paved the way for psychology as we know it today, as Scizophrenia is a mental battle with yourself; that internal dialogue which is your enemy, and - like I say - admitting you're schizophrenic is more than half the battle won. Thus having therapy/meds prescribed is the nuclear device which completely annihilates that 'enemy', and you emerge triumphant.
The likes of Dennis 'ma(short)bus' Markarzi lost it years ago. In more ways than one, it seems (especially as he's breached his parole conditions, by going back to his trolling/threatening ways against Atheists again). Next time, I hope he's told by the court - in no uncertain terms - that he must take the meds that prevent him from thinking in the unjustifiable way he does, to ensure his freedom, or he'll be put in the nut farm permanently for the safety of everyone here on Planet Reality. How long before he goes beyond mere 'threats' (and he has threatened to kill Atheists before)...?
Right-wing Fundamentalist Christianity represents a clear and present danger to normal, decent, sane, democratic societies/countries. And has been proven many times, you can't spell 'Fundamentalist Christian' without the word 'Mental'.

'Fundamentalist Islamist'. I rest my case.
