What would the Founders have done?!
Even though the Founders dedicated the cause of Freedom and the cause of America to G-D,
and even though well over half of them were ministers and pastors in their own right as well as elected representatives to Congress...
would they ever have let the PONTIFF of ANY religion pass the doors of Congress?

Most likely they'd mostly be somewhat upset that anyone other than white male property owners were allowed to vote.
Except for Ben Franklin. He'd have probably just shrugged, gotten stinking blitzed and shagged the first thing willing and female, then told everyone else to just relax and get over it.
Yeah, I reckon they would. Free speech and all that.
Also, in the context of the founders' time snubbing a potential European ally while still a developing nation would not have been smart at all.
To quote George Washington after I resurrected him to ask him about this subject:
"Who are you? What's going on? Oh god, what have you done to me?" unfortunately the rest was incomprehensible gurgles, but there you have it. An answer from one of the men themselves.
Most of the Fathers served their terms in the government and did their jobs. If they were around today, they would act as citizens and nothing else, and they wouldn't argue about it, because they wrote the laws themselves.

Who cares?
Seriously? Why does it matter at all? The founders lived over two hundred years ago, in a completely different society. They wouldn't even recognize the world today. When they wrote the Declaration of Independence, Watt was just beginning to commercialize his steam engine. Sure, they may have been some pretty intelligent men, with some pretty good ideas, but they also had some rather silly ones, like slavery.
What the founders would have done is simply irrelevant to what we as a society choose to do. Get over it.

Yes, they probably would. Quite apart from being Pope, he's also a visiting head of state (Vatican City is a nation technically) so I imagine they'd exchange the usual pleasantries.

Well, they'd probably have asked "Are you sure you're the Pope ? You're not wearing your own weight worth of gold and jewelry !"
Confused?
