In debates with atheists, the popular YouTube video maker Shockofgod often asks atheists, "Is God evil?". Invariably, so-called atheists quickly say yes. Then Shockofgod informs the "atheist" that they admitted that God exists. Shockofgod also declares that he never heard anyone accuse leprechauns of being evil.
My reasoning, as stated in the edit summary, was "leprechauns aren't evil, but Voldemort is, and he doesn't exist", the point being that something doesn't need to exist for you to describe it. Why, then, was my edit undone?]
Voldemort cannot be evil because he doesn't exist. "Nothing" cannot be evil. The fictional character Voldemort can only be portrayed as evil.
By the way, if a main justification for your worldview is the "leprechaun objection", it is time to abandon your worldview. Atheism is madness!

This ass-clowns 'winning question' is "Is Atheism real and true" of which he interrupts when they try to get him to define the meaning of that (There are Atheists and their disbelief is their position, is that what your asking?) he'll just repeat the question. He's deliberately just trying to anger people with purposeful twisting of an answer to leading questions.

Typical Christian doublethink. Anyone accusing God of being evil automatically admits that God really exists, but accusing some other literary character of being evil doesn't mean you're admitting that character exists.
The reason atheists answer the question "yes" it's because it's usually assumed they mean "If God exists as portrayed in the bible" but saying this every single time gets tiring.
The fictional character God can also be portrayed as evil.

That's like me asking if Teridax is evil, you saying yes, and then me saying that you admitted that he exists. I'm not saying he doesn't, given that the great spirit is part of my pantheon, but the point remains.
Is Edward Cullen an abuser? I think most people would agree that the character is abusive, even though nobody believes in vampires (except for Christian fundies).
The fact is, when you ask me my opinion of a fictional character, I don't feel the need to repeatedly point out the character is fiction. Does that mean I believe in all fictional characters?
Usually when I say your god is evil I either say:
Assuming the Bible is true, God is evil
or
Your god is evil
But seriously saying that I admit a god exists by using the pedantic rather than informal interpretation of a quick "God is evil" is weak. A simple clarification as to intent is all that's needed to dismiss that argument.
As stated above, when discussing a fictionally character, it isn't necessary to state that "in the events of the book Voldemort is evil", when the statement would be equally as well understood as "Voldemort is evil". Even if you somehow mistake Voldemort to being a real person, I would only have to clarify after you ask to make the laconic statement pedantically correct.
So I will state laconically, Fuck you and your god.
Things in fictional writing do exist, in an obtuse sense. Of course it's only in our heads. God is only real in the bible and in the heads of all these people.
All that nonsense being said, God, as portrayed in the bible, is evil, and that is a shitty argument against atheism. You're purposefully twisting words around because you know you don't have a leg to stand on.

I've never met an atheist that would call "god" evil. He might call someone's concept of "god" evil but something that doesn't exist can't be evil.
That's a fair question, that I think most atheists would interpret as "is god, as we theists define him, evil?" As you say, it needn't be real to be described, so we are free to treat god as we do any fictional character. We are perfectly capable of answering that hypothetical question, because none of us are ignorant of the CONCEPT of a deity. You cannot, of course, "prove" anything with what is obviously meant to be a "gotcha" question, nor can you even debate it intelligently with that attitude.
