Here in Reality Land, this is called supporting the experienced politician who has the best chance of beating a Democrat challenger and further the Republican agenda, AKA the smart/sensible/obvious choice/a no-brainer... Once the far-right got those wackadoo tea-party canidates in and the dominionist agendas became near 30% of the Republican party the Republican party and FoxNews realized the crazies were running the show.

But the push backs not strong enough at Fox, they still pander to the extremist side, the real push back is the recent Republican heads finally pushing back, demeaning the tea-party dominionist virus and calling for their members to "stop being stupid". Too little too late,the crazies have taken the south and show no signs of ever voting in anyone who's policies don't include, as a priority, destroying the federal goverment.

Schlaflys a full batshit insane dominionist tool. If the canidates extremely hateful of goverment and dedicated to fundamentalist Christian dogma and rule, that's his guy or hockey mom.
