The great John McCain "the country of Abe Lincoln." I guess Lincoln would have been elected to kill Obamacare, then made deciding vote to keep Obamacare alive, costing his own supporters trillions of dollars...all to spite one man he hates. #TRAVESTY https://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2018/09/awful-meghan-mccain-takes-cheap-shot-at-president-trump-at-fathers-funeral-video/

No, Lincoln would have been elected to serve the people of the United States. And would have done so, by all means he saw fit. Including, if need be, voting against the expectations of his constituents. Sometimes even against their interests, subordinating them to the interests of US as a whole. You know, like a real politician would have done.
Don't be surprised if it's attitudes like this of the Alt-Shite that becomes one of the reasons why the Democrats win in the midterms: and by more than even you dare imagine, Dwayne.

Not all Republican voters think like you do: which results in the Alt-Shite's destruction.
Because that's what'll happen after November: and in the next two years that'll hopefully be your 'Emprah's last: thus any political power you once had will be as castrated as Donald Fart will be.
And once he's gone, what will you lot have left...?!
And as I've seen on a Zippo lighter, 'When nothing's going right try going left . '
"The America of John McCain is generous and welcoming and bold."
"We gather here to mourn the passing of American greatness the real thing, not cheap rhetoric from men who will never come near the sacrifice he gave so willingly
The America of John McCain has no need to be made great again, because America was always great."
"The America of John McCain is the America of Abraham Lincoln, of fulfilling the promise of the Declaration of Independence that all men are created equal and suffering greatly to see it through."
Those are all of the quotes from the linked article from the speech. Ok, I'll grant that the second one can only be interpreted as a slam on Trump, seeing as how all he ever says is vague stuff about "greatness".
"Thanks to Trump, I went from a conservative Republican to a liberal Democrat."
That's actually kind of surprising. Sure, people change who they vote for, or might even reconsider some important beliefs about the world.
But changing what you value? That doesn't make much sense.
WAR: "Trump was elected to kill Obamacare, thereby putting an end to OUR money paying for healthcare for people too POOR to afford it out of their own pocket!! His task about healthcare is to bring it back to 'either you can pay for it YOURSELF, without the tax dollars of who are supposed to be your betters or you go without, hoping for the best!'"

Trust me, happens more often than you think. Makes perfect sense to me, some situations in life or merely growing up for some, might cause them to reevaluate their lives and what they care for. Sometimes the change calls for restructuring your entire social beliefs.
@Anon-e-moose & Thinking Allowed:
I said long before the election that Trump getting elected president would be the worst thing to happen to the Republican Party. Events have proven me right.

With me, my political views changed after I became an atheist. I was fairly conservative, but became more moderate and now consider myself to be center-left. Mainly because my eyes were opened to how conservatives tend to not only want to force everyone to be Christian, but then refuse help to those who desperately need it like Jesus said to do. I could see first hand how a lot of Christians love Christianity because it makes them feel like a good person without actually having to go out and do good things. They refuse to raise taxes on the rich to help out the poor, but they also refuse to give to charity as well.
Confused?
