According to the Word of God, abortion is one of the worst murders a human being can commit. About abortion, the Scripture says, "In the secret place doth he murder the innocent" (Psalms 10:8). The “secret place” is the womb of a mother. Definitely, the baby is an “innocent.” No person who is fully aware of another’s total innocence normally kills that other human being. Even wild beasts such as like lions and tigers do not kill their own kind, but rather, they fight to defend and protect them. But, today, man has made himself even lower than brute beasts by slaying innocent unborn babies.

actually, lions eat their young. Males especially will eat cubs that he suspects were fathered by another male.
Some other examples: Rabbits absorb their litter into their system during times of scarcity. many many animals eat their young, some simply abandon them to fend for themselves. And as for your god not liking babies to be killed. Why the hell do about half of all pregnancies (work in a maternity clinic, have seen the stats) end in miscarriage?

And, for that matter, just how secret is a uterus? Does anyone NOT know what goes on in there? Even my 3 year old niece knows that babies grow in a woman's uterus. This is not Bin Laden's cave we're talking about here, there are 6 billion people on this planet, I'm sure somewhere along the line, some gynecologist or obstetrician has figured out that secret place of yours. My brain hurts!

Talk about cherry-picking the Bible. Psalm 10 says "He sitteth in the lurking places of the villages: in the secret places doth he murder the innocent: his eyes are privily set against the poor. He lieth in wait secretly as a lion in his den: he lieth in wait to catch the poor: he doth catch the poor, when he draweth him into his net." It takes a bizarre imagination to think this passage is talking about abortion.

The only real mention of abortion is in Exodus 21:22, where it says if two men are fighting and they injure a pregnant woman and cause her to miscarry, they have to pay her husband the value of the baby - basically the same as if they killed one of the husband's goats.

Actually the bible says that if you cause a woman to have an abortion, you must pay her husband a fine. In fact according to the bible, it isn't even human until it's been out of the womb for a month.

So if hubby didn't want the kid, no harm done.

If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine. And if any mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life. -- Exodus 21:22-23

And if it be from a month old even unto five years old, then thy estimation shall be of the male five shekels of silver, and for the female thy estimation shall be three shekels of silver. -- Leviticus 27:6

Number the children of Levi after the house of their fathers, by their families: every male from a month old and upward shalt thou number them. And Moses numbered them according to the word of the LORD. -- Numbers 3:15-16

But of course you people don't read your own book do you.

Oh, and ask any dog breeder, it's very common for a mother to eat a puppy. And the lions mentioned above. Also barn cats live similarly to lions, and if a new tom comes around, he will kill the kittens too. Oh, and do you know how many abortions are done by vets because some mutt got in with Champion Fifi the poodle?

Not quite: At that time Menahem, starting out from Tirzah, attacked Tiphsah and everyone in the city and its vicinity, because they refused to open their gates. He sacked Tiphsah and ripped open all the pregnant women.2 Kings 15:16

The people of Samaria must bear their guilt,

their pregnant women ripped open." Hosea 13:16

The "word of God" dosen't seem to have a problem with abortion.
Even wild beasts such as like lions and tigers do not kill their own kind,
Lions and Tigers do kill their young.
