i used to wear verrrryyy revealing clothing
then i learned that the nazis used to force girls to take off their clothes all the time and that when the jewish girls were given clothing, it was just a small dress. i realized that if the nazis, who were brutalizing and killing jews, used little and no clothing as a way to demean jewish women, that i should think twice if i want to do this to myself. i realized that nazis yank off clothing and keep girls undressed in order to demean them, but i have a choice, and i chose to stop demeaning myself. it wasn't always easy at times, but the more a person does anything at all--including wearing revealing clothes, too, until it seems totally normal--the easier it becomes.

Perhaps I'm wrong, but didn't the Nazi's demean women and men by undressing them before, uh, shooting them or gassing them? And didn't they encourage German women to wear dirndls whilst attacking "degenerate" modern forms of dress?
So where are these mythical bikinazis?
The Nazis also ate and breathed, you might want to stop doing that too.

Those are German girls in the BDM, but they really are naked to the skin, aren't they? Those arms are just pornographic!
i used to wear verrrryyy covering clothing
then i learned that the Taliban forces girls to cover themselves from head to toe and the Jewish fundamentalists in Israel do somewhat the same. They do this in order to demean them, but i have a choice, and i chose to stop demeaning myself. it wasn't always easy at times, but the more a person does anything at all--including wearing covering clothes, too, until it seems totally normal--the easier it becomes.

Nazis ate food, therefore you, ana, need to stop eating food because you are being just like the Nazis.
Nazis breathed air, therefore you, ana, need to stop breathing air because you are being just like the Nazis.
So I'm demeaning myself whenever I wear a tank top or one of my many V neck tops? (which look good on me)
Since you seem to be a fundie girl I think it's best if you do cover yourself up-head to toe. You don't want to go to the beach & be mistaken for a dead whale & blown up now do you? Or perhaps a guy in a ruffled collar will climb out of a boat, stick a flag in your ass & claim you for Mother England.
Actualy ana, The Nazis were rather a prudish bunch when it came to women's bodies.
They liked to see girls wearing skirts that covered the knees, and blouses that buttoned to within a few inches of the neck.
I suspect that your "verrrrryyy revealing clothing" was a sleeve rolled up to show a bare wrist.
I did not think I would ever laugh about something Nazi related, yet, here I am!
Women in nazi germany had one purpose only - the same purpose women have in EVERY fundy society: breeding! (ever heard of the "Mother Cross (Mutter Kreuz)? Mothers of 5 or more children got it)
As far as the dress code is concerend, Nazi's preferred uniforms and nothing revealing at all.
You are all fucked up in your thinking. There was nothing sexual in the nakedness of the victims of the Nazis. It was a case of saving and recycling clothing at the moment that its former wearers were about to be gunned down, or gassed.
"...i chose to stop demeaning myself. it wasn't always easy at times..."
You mean you liked dressing like a whore?
Compared to their great/grandmothers, modern women, even when modestly dressed, seem like whores too. Times change and so do fashions. the song has it pat: " in olden time a glimpse of stocking was looked on as something shocking..."]
Wake up and live in the 21st century.
Using the same reasoning, women should go naked everywhere, because the Taliban forces them to cover up.
Or you could just wear what makes sense and is comfortable, without letting other people dictate what you wear, but that would be too reasonable.
If the difference between choosing your clothing and being forcibly stripped is over your head, the by the same "logic", you should stop having sex with your husband because women have sometimes been raped.
The Nazis stripped men and women alike of their clothing before shooting or gassing them. Mostly at the death camps, but the Einsatzgruppen forced many of their victims to strip before shooting them. Yes, it was partly meant to be dehumanizing, but it was mainly to get the money and valuables out of the clothing afterwards.
I used to wear very revealing clothing, too, but that was back when I had the bod to wear them.
@fundiesmakemetypesillynames: it ain't so much fundie as the reasoning.
"immodest clothing= = sin, ergo "modest clothing= = purity.
flawed logic, and the godwin was too much, but it boils down to this
@m/>_<\m/
I see no mention or even implication of sin in this post. I see where you're going, but I think this is a woman who buys into sexist stereotypes about the way women should dress. It's misguided thinking, but not really fundamentalist.
So you wear a burka then?
No? You slut.
Two ways to demean a woman; tell her to be ashamed of her body, treat her like she is only a body.
The Nazis spoke German. I...I have a degree in German philology (Germanistik in the original language). Damn, I always thought I was a left-leaning pro-green liberal, but I must be a Nazi by this logic! :(
I wonder how old she is.
I've watched many old tv series and movies on YouTube and was quite surprised to see that in the button down fifties and early sixties America girls up to eleven or so wore skirts that were up to their underwear, it seems they didn't cover up much until their teen years.
So was America some sick culture then or had Shirley Temples influence become a big thing? Oddly enough, by the late 60s, teenage girls and women bared more but girls were dressed more modestly. Weird eh? Europeans didn't dress the same as Americans, gee, doesn't everyone do things to be more like Americans?
I beat the living daylights out of my dog (that's no pretty puppy now *bumbumching*)because I heard Hitler liked animals and treated them nicely.
Also, I don't associate with anyone who loves and respects their mother for the same reason.
And you better believe I don't stand in lines. As a matter of fact, if I see other people standing in line I race into the line causing a ruckus to disrupt it. Because someone has too, am I right?
You know, I think that a lot of people can understand stepping away from the Nazis' stuff. But that being said, WHAT SORT OF FUCKING CONNECTION ARE YOU MAKING HERE? I think that the caps are justified.
i used to wear verrrryyy revealing clothing
Once, shoes that weren't completely flat, a dress *gasp* that didn't cover my ... uh... <whisper> anklesthereisaidit.
Confused?
