Quote# 84795

Evolutionists assume that adding energy (open system) will overcome the 2nd law of thermodynamics. But the fact of the matter is, is that this is not true.
The Japanese added lots of energy to Pearl Harbor in 1941, and did not organize any thing.

Evolutonists dont exist. They are cannards created by creationist preachers.

Really? It seems to me to have organised a whole country onto a war footing.

An @D. Laurier, an evolutionist is a correct term for a biologist specialising in evolutionary theory, just as geneticist is for one specialising in genetics.
Don't dismiss proper terms just because creationists misuse them, creationists misuse a lot of things (like the 2LOT, above).

"The Japanese added lots of energy to Pearl Harbor in 1941, and did not organize any thing."

Except waking a sleeping giant

And military history =/= physics.

Use of bad analogy. Therefore...:

This is a variation of a bon mot that Kent Hovind likes to use (although he refers to the atomic bomb).

Take that for what it is worth.

There is no point arguing with a moron like this. He won't listen to your answer, and even if he did, he wouldn't understand it in the first place. I would rather discuss physics with a budgie.

Oh just stop already with the 2nd law of thermodynamics nonsense. You're making yourselves look even more stupid.

Actually, the attack on Pearl Harbor did organize something. It organized the United States enough to enter and help win the war.

Others have said it, but I gotta repeat:

Before Pearl Harbor, America was still slowly gearing up to help Britain fight Germany.

Afterwards, we're building warships in a couple of days and the employment rate skyrockets.

Nope, no organising that I can see (sarcasm)

There's a reason that Japanese admiral made the comment about waking the sleeping giant.

You can't compare the laws of physics and the behavior of a group of people, you stupid dipshit.

The fact that the Pearl Harbour attack actually did organize something isn't really the point.

The point is that History =/= Physics. As Anon-y-moose said.

Really. Some people are just desperate.

I wonder if there was some sort of microbe, or ant or something in which changes its behavior as a result of all the pollution added to the water from the attack. Maybe the attack did act as natural selection, and thus push some population one more step down an evolutionary path.

Can I ask you a question then? How did you grow from a single cell in your mother's uterus to a fully grown adult human? Because according to your interpretation of thermodynamics, that should be impossible.

And not just that. Stretching things so much, fundies make Shaun T's 'Insanity Workout' seem like Pilates or Yoga for older people.

I know jack-shit about thermodynamics, but I do know that the 2nd law concerns closed systems and as we have the input of the sun, we're not a closed system.

The energy of Pearl Harbor was not harnessed out-of-space, it was energy from Earth. It kinda disorganized a lot of things, to my knowledge.

What about the energy of the nuclear bombs at Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Those are THE strongest energy surges humans have ever released. And the US of A release both of them.
All other conflict in the history of humans have been managed without killing hundreds of thousands of humans in 4 days.
My, the US of A must have felt VERY threatened...

"My budgerigar is smarter than a creationist."
I'd buy that bumper-sticker right away!

'Evolutionists assume that adding energy (open system) will overcome the 2nd law of thermodynamics'
No. Astrophysics have proven energy can be broadcast out by things we know exist called STARS and OUR SUN. We can see the stars and actually feel the sun.

Open system means ADDED ENERGY to the planets.

"The Japanese added lots of energy to Pearl Harbor in 1941, and did not organize any thing."

Yes they did. They organized the arguably greatest single run destruction on a military build up ever. The Japanese didn't attack Capitals or major populations, they attacked the war machine they KNEW America was building. The actual footage and researched recreations all show Pearl Harbour ships and planes are carrying American colors and symbols.

Sleeping Giant my ass, uncommited, unannounced adversary

the US added a lot to Nagasaki about 1945. Look at the city today, lovely sample of organisation.
