Oklahoma lawmaker Sally Kern appeared on Alan Colmes' radio show last week to discuss her new book "The Stoning of Sally Kern," and her past statements saying gays were a greater threat to America than terrorists.
Kern defends those remarks by saying that what she really meant was that more people have died of AIDS than have been killed by terrorists in the U.S.
In a lengthy discussion about gays, Kern goes on to say that she wishes we were back in the pre-Lawrence v. Texas days, when sodomy laws were back in effect nationwide.
"For years, gay activity, gay behavior was outlawed...I would rather it be back in the closet the way it used to be. The reasons they had law against it was because of the consequences that gay activity has...The way it used to be, people did it and it was secret it was in their bedroom and the rest of the world didn't know about it. Today they're pushing it. It's in your face...The more you put deviant sexual behavior in front of children, the more they engage in it."

Dear cuntrag: If you're this adamant on outlawing gay activity, please do the same for smoking, drinking, or any other activity that may harm children. Otherwise, you're a pathetic hypocrite.

Sally, no one is having sex in front of children. Just becauise gays are more visible now doesn't mean that they're going to change their sexuality to be like them. If they're gay, they're gay. If they're straight, they're straight.

Many, many more people have been killed by cars in the US than by AIDS and terrorists combined.
So, let's do things the Sally Kern way and forbid cars.
Then she can drive her SUV around at night when nobody will know about it, all secret like. Or maybe in her closet.
As an American I'm more worried about causes of death that don't require me to do anything careless(like unprotected sex or sharing dirty nettles).
It's not really a "threat" to anyone if the cause of death is something people can avoid by making good choices. That's like saying people should be afraid of suicide(whether or not they are depressed or suicidal) if rates are going up.
Most of those people who died of AIDS made errors of judgement. People who were attacked by terrorists died because of other people's errors of judgement.

If more Americans have died of complications from AIDS than from terrorism, and you make the assumption that "sodomy" should be banned because AIDS was first discovered in gay communities -- why don't you go the whole hog and ban having breasts -- so people don't die of breast cancer! Or, more easily, ban smoking, which kills more people than AIDS and terrorism. Yes, manage that, if you please.
