You realize this was likely written by someone who was confounded by the things the wise said (like, "why the hell would I believe this shit you're telling me?" for instance) and came to the incorrect conclusion that it's everyone else who doesn't know what they're talking about.

Yes. This is all very well, but relies on a slight difficulty, namely that the Bible is factual. Factual, in as much as the facts it blathers about pertain to reality. Clearly it doesn't pertain to reality, and is for those who want a bedtime fairy tale to send them to sleep.

You don't seem to get the fact that not everyone is mentally retarded and that the vast majority of us are capable of at least understanding the rudiments of science and of benefiting from their application, even if we are not able to directly participate in science's furtherance.

He didn't. Paul chose the ignorant, meek, humble and illiterate to preach to, because they're easier to fool into believing somebody who tells them that God prefers you to be ignorant, meek, humble and illiterate.

Well, I don´t have any problem, with not being in the same species as AV1611 ;)
if he thinks that his level of christian fundamentalism (as well as his habit of using it as replacement for thinking processes and justification for intolerance) deserves that he be "cast out" from the species Homo sapiens, so be it.

But he should be consequent enough to not use any tools anymore that were made by Homo sapiens, such as computers, modern medicines, cars etc.
