Michelle can only believe this because (a) she's a moron, and (b) because she imagines all wars are like the conflicts in Afghanistan and Iraq, i.e. far away and involving other people.
The real consequences of such and action would likely be embargoes of the US, dirty-bombs or even nukes finding their way from Pakistan into the hands of terrorists, world-wide retaliation against American assests and citizens abroad, etc. In essence an eternal war the US can never win.
