I agree dolphins are intelligent and special. However, I think this is paving the way for "aliens" or "nephilim" to be treated equal to humans.

Dolphins - fairly intelligent as far as marine mammals go. I fail to see how this equates to aliens being treated as humans. Have you seen District 9? That's probably what it'd be like if aliens came here. We're paranoid enough about people from the neighbouring country, let alone people from across the stars.
...Aliens will be treated equal when they show up. IF they do. As for the Nephilim, they don't exist.
And dolphins aren't THAT special. My crow's more brilliant than them!
Who said anything about treating dolphins like humans? They are dolphins, and should be treated as such.
Every species deserves to be treated in accordance to its needs and abilities, with respect and interest.
As soon as aliens and "nephilim" are catalogued and defined by science, then we can start treating them as aliens and "nephilim", m'kay?
I'd suggest that this belongs in RSTDT, except that the "races" ClarionCall wants to discriminate against are either fictional (Nephilim) or seriously unlikely to ever be encountered (aliens, assuming he means extraterrestrials). Can one be racist against entities that either don't exist or have never been encountered by humanity at all?

Someone, namely everyone in that RR thread, doesn't understand the point behind human rights. Hint: despite the name, it has nothing to do with species exclusion.
Well, cephalopods are even more intelligent and special than dolphins.
Just don't give them scissors.
Do the rapture retards believe in aliens now? And, I'm sorry, but if aliens do exist and they manage to get to our earth before we get to theirs -- then I think they should be far more than equal to humans.
Except that we know dolphins are real, and aliens and "nephilim" are imaginary. Well, nephilim are, there's a chance there might actually be aliens out there somewhere, but as far as we know they've never contacted us.
But I think it's funny how extreme fundies like the RR crowd are talking about aliens & nephilim all the time. This nutball stuff is going to push potential converts away from them, and distance themselves from mainstream Christianity. Plus it gives non-Christians something to point at and show how nutty Christians are when they talk about this stuff.
And frankly all this alien & nephilim talk is reminiscent of Scientology.
I see fundies have already started covering their bases if extraterrestrial life is found.
Unfortunately for everyone, they can only be angels or demons, no middle ground.

If advanced aliens arrive here, I invite you to tell them to their face (or whatever they have) that they aren't as good as us.
Also: If they did show up, they might be more interested in talking to the dolphins :p

Well it's refreshing to see you admiting to the obvious.

In other words 2+2=Fish. That's basically what you are saying. How can acknowledging the intelligence of dolphins be paving the way for things that are nothing more than Rapture Ready fanfic, without even so much as a basis in scripture for such a claim.
It seem that more and more the theology of RR is based more on the fiction of authors like Tim LaHaye and their own bizzare fanfic than the bible.
Well, considering the vast expanse of the universe, combined with the existence of incalculable galaxies, with even more numerous stars, each with an unimaginable amount of terrestrial and gaseous planets orbiting them it is actually very possible that somewhere out there another form of intelligent life does exist. Taking into consideration that water exists all over our own solar system, it's not so far-fetched to believe that water exists outside of our solar system and galaxy. Therefore life could exist somewhere else.
Now, Nephelim on the other hand... Well, I think Mesopotamia would like it's mythology back Christianity. Unless you feel like delving into the Igigi, the Annunaki, the Damquis, the Rakbu, the Azif and the La'Atzu... oh, you don't know what any of those are ClarionCall? Hmm, maybe you should better study where you're bullshit mythology is coming from.
And why not? If they're sentient, sapient and capable of fully interacting and, if they choose, integrating with humans and our various cultures, why shouldn't they be given equal rights?
Now there's just the issue of whether or not there are aliens and if they fit those qualifications.
You're absolutely right! After all, if aliens ever come here, they can't be treated as equal since they will be so much better than us at just about everything.
Man, this sort of "logic" reminds me of "numberwang": http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qjOZtWZ56lc
