Quote# 69574

I agree dolphins are intelligent and special. However, I think this is paving the way for "aliens" or "nephilim" to be treated equal to humans.

Odd but not fundy

What are you talking about? He immediately jumps to completely unfounded beliefs like only a fundie can. Nephilim? Give me a goddamned break.

Neo aka Baracus The One

Da Fuck you talking about? What do aliens have to do with dolphins? Kill yourself

Do I get to play too? Grass is green; therefore, the capital of South Carolina is Atlantis.

"Dolphins! One of the smartest mammals on earth. Do they wear pants? NO! But they wish they did. That's how smart they are!" -MST3K

Humans are better than nephilim - we actually exist.

1/12/2010 9:27:54 AM

Dolphins - fairly intelligent as far as marine mammals go. I fail to see how this equates to aliens being treated as humans. Have you seen District 9? That's probably what it'd be like if aliens came here. We're paranoid enough about people from the neighbouring country, let alone people from across the stars.

1/12/2010 9:33:27 AM

...Aliens will be treated equal when they show up. IF they do. As for the Nephilim, they don't exist.

And dolphins aren't THAT special. My crow's more brilliant than them!

1/12/2010 9:34:53 AM

Who said anything about treating dolphins like humans? They are dolphins, and should be treated as such.
Every species deserves to be treated in accordance to its needs and abilities, with respect and interest.

As soon as aliens and "nephilim" are catalogued and defined by science, then we can start treating them as aliens and "nephilim", m'kay?

1/12/2010 9:37:26 AM

Yes, either that or dolphins just evolved a good brain. I'm not sure which makes more sense so we will call it a draw.

1/12/2010 9:54:48 AM

Sadly, dolphins are smarter than you are. I've never seen a dolphin put on clown shoes and slide down a slippery slope like that.

David D.G.

I'd suggest that this belongs in RSTDT, except that the "races" ClarionCall wants to discriminate against are either fictional (Nephilim) or seriously unlikely to ever be encountered (aliens, assuming he means extraterrestrials). Can one be racist against entities that either don't exist or have never been encountered by humanity at all?

I'm positive if the aliens came down to Earth to lead us into a future of space exploration and peace, the christians will lynch them and ruin it for the rest of us.

Someone, namely everyone in that RR thread, doesn't understand the point behind human rights. Hint: despite the name, it has nothing to do with species exclusion.

Caustic Gnostic

Well, cephalopods are even more intelligent and special than dolphins.

Just don't give them scissors.

1/12/2010 10:09:41 AM

Aliens are really nephilim?

1/12/2010 10:12:27 AM

Oh trust me if aliens show up they wont be asking for "human" rights. Why would you want the same rights as something as dumb as us? I mean they've conquered space travel!

1/12/2010 10:12:41 AM

1/12/2010 10:21:57 AM

Bloody Nephilim. If you give 'em rights they'll be taking your job next.

I Read About The Afterlife

Do the rapture retards believe in aliens now? And, I'm sorry, but if aliens do exist and they manage to get to our earth before we get to theirs -- then I think they should be far more than equal to humans.

1/12/2010 10:58:13 AM

lol wut!?!

1/12/2010 10:58:13 AM

Only equal to humans?

I, for one, welcome our new Cetacean Overlords!

Doubting Thomas

Except that we know dolphins are real, and aliens and "nephilim" are imaginary. Well, nephilim are, there's a chance there might actually be aliens out there somewhere, but as far as we know they've never contacted us.

But I think it's funny how extreme fundies like the RR crowd are talking about aliens & nephilim all the time. This nutball stuff is going to push potential converts away from them, and distance themselves from mainstream Christianity. Plus it gives non-Christians something to point at and show how nutty Christians are when they talk about this stuff.

And frankly all this alien & nephilim talk is reminiscent of Scientology.
