Science or not, if there are different viable versions of your prized theory,
No, we're all pretty much in agreement that there is only one version of it... the one you don't like.
[...] and a consensus can not be found by exacting evidence alone, then we leave the realm of true facts and figures, and enter into the realm of Faith and personal belief.
No, like I just said, we do have a consensus on this. The fact that you choose to ignore it does not change any facts.
If your theory is nothing more than a system of scientifically based personal beliefs, then how does it differ than what other believe?
Unlike a personal belief, an acceptance of observed phenomena that are supported by tested, verifiable evidence cannot be compared to faith. Twist this all you want... it only makes you look stupid.
You can tell yourself otherwise but know, what you learn in your temples built to academic study is little more than a properly dressed religion.
Oh yeah, here we go again with the "science is religion" angle. Once again, we do not need faith to observe evolution in action. It happens every day and everywhere, from flu vaccines to extra veins in certain people's arms. Look it up.
Theories and facts are not, nor do they equate to truth.
If facts aren't true then what the hell is the point? And what the hell is this "truth" of yours? All we can ever hope for is some manner of stable understanding of the world based on what we can observe and test. The rest we're stuck with, unfortunately. It comes with the territory so deal with it.
So unless there is definitive proof for whatever your speaking of, then basically you are excising faith, dressed to be something more substantial. Just know it is the same faith we choose to give to God.
There IS evidence. Just go to www.talkorigins.org and prepare to shit bricks.
