Good deal, Maine voters. Gay "rights" activists whine about "rights" - but like so many people, forget about "responsibility". The navel gazers can only think about what they want, and never consider how their wants might affect society at large. There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe. Causation has not been established - but, how do you establish cause? Do you wait til civilization collapses to prove causation? The fact is, fertility rates fall in correlattion with increased gay rights. Meanwhile - more virile and fertile peoples invade both the US and Europe from the south. Peoples who reject homosexuality.
Given free reign, the gay community and the invading hordes will destroy our homelands. Count on it.
I congratulate the people of Maine for rejecting the sacrilege of gay marriage.

"There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe."
That might have something to do with the fact that Gay Rights started becoming an issue right about at the same time that Contraceptives started becoming easily available.
But what do I know? I'm not an enlightened Fundie with a direct pipeline to God, like yourself.
"There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe."
Unless there is MUCH higher percentage of gays, and I don't think that there is, I'd say that's actually related to the fact that most women have decided that we DON'T WANT TO BE FUCKING BABY MACHINES ANY MORE.

I'm sure you'll come up with (fabricate) something.
OMG! Teh gays are reducing our birth rates! Worse yet, our birth rates actually aren't being reduced, because the birth rates are being supported by a bunch of skeevy wetback Mexicans!
He hasn't figured out which group he should be more bigoted against: the gays who reduce our birth rates or the Mexicans who increase them. That's what I like: an "equal opportunity" bigot!
Causation has not been established because you're talking bollocks. How can where one man sticks his bits possibly reduce another's fertility. Not to mention the fact that the Earth's population is still increasing, we are not about to collapse any time soon.
Lying for Jebus is still lying.
Couldn't you have said that it's a conspiracy between those dreadful faggots and those dreadful wetbacks to destroy our pure, lily-white society? Then you'd have a trifecta. Anyway, thanks for tipping your hand and letting us see what you truly think.
"There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe. Causation has not been established..."
But you're going to mention it just so you can make the correlation, right? In other words, you can't prove that gay rights means lowered fertility, but you're going to say it anyway because you want people to believe it.
Furthermore, correlation doesn't equal causation. I would say that it's more likely more pollutants in our environment would be causing infertility, not teh buttsechs.

Check your facts, dummy. Your predictions of the future make you a laughingstock because you are ignorant of the present.
"According to the World Bank’s 2007 Annual Development Indicators, in 1990 Mexico had a fertility rate of 3.3 children per female, but by 2005, that number had fallen by 36 percent to 2.1, which is the Zero Population Growth rate."

It doesn't have nearly as much impact, as others have noted--women generally are having fewer kids, and the technologies existing in modern society are sufficient enough that it simply is no longer necessary to have the ten, fifteen, or more-children families that were common 100 years ago.
Dude, seriously, civil rights are for EVERYONE. Not just people you think should have them.
Decreasing fertility? Yeah, that would be because intelligent people are CHOOSING NOT TO BREED, unlike you Christ-tards who pop 'em out once a year.
How about we take away YOUR civil rights and see how you feel?
Let's do some historical modeling, shall we?
Marriage in 1800:
Father gets bride for his son at 18. She pops out a baby a year until she has 12 kids and dies during childbirth at 30. A third of them live to adulthood to have kids of their own.
100 year population growth (5 generations): 16-32-64-128-256-512
Marriage in 2000:
Man dates woman and proposes to her at 23. They have a kid at 25, 27, and 30-years-old. The three kids live to adulthood.
100 year population growth (4 generations): 16-24-36-54-81
More than six times the population. I don't think 85% of America is gay or lesbian.
"There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe."
Yeah, because the U.S. population was much greater in the 1950s when the fags knew their place. ... Oh, wait.
Wow. Idiot, conspiracy theorist, racist, homophobe, and xenophobe all wrapped into one! What a surprise. Yes, fighting for equal rights is "whining" and equality for all has such a negative impact on society -- because it's not like gay people are part of society or anything. I sincerely wish for this guy to be donkey punched...
Gay "rights" activists whine about "rights" - but like so many people, forget about "responsibility".
So it is irresponsible of gay people to want to get married? I'm going to love hearing you explain that.
Actually there appears to be a correlation between all human rights and decreasing fertility.
The countries with the highest birth rates tend to be places associated with the words "human tragedy". Places like Angola, Afghanistan, The Democratic Republic of Congo, Sierra Leone and East Timor.
Before Glasnost the birth rate in Russia was about 2.4 births per adult woman. Less than five years after the fall of the Soviet Union it fell to below replacement level.
A high birth rate consistently correlates with oppression, chaos, poverty, violence, totalitarianism and horror on a historical level.
Tell me, HOW does legalizing gay marriage affect society at large? How does it affect YOU?
Correlation does not imply causation, by the way. The same correlation exists between a population getting educated and a declining birth rate. And, surprise surprise, a correlation ALSO exists between getting educated and granting rights to oppressed minorities!
@ everyone asking what a 'navel gazer' is:
A cocksucker. When you're sucking someone's dick, you're about eye level with their navel--their bellybutton.
Happy?
So gay rights are going to allow Mexicans to colonize the U.S. and thus bring about the fall of our civilization?
Whatever medication you're on, double the dosage.
The navel gazers can only think about what they want, and never consider how their wants might affect society at large.
That sounds more like the people who are against gay marriage.
There appears to be correlation between increasing gay rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe.
Could this be because their are seven billion plus people on the planet and that millions of children go unwanted?
Meanwhile - more virile and fertile peoples invade both the US and Europe from the south.
That's good. We need more burger flippers.
Given free reign, the gay community and the invading hordes will destroy our homelands. Count on it.
Do you even read your rants before you post them?
@ freakyfeline
A cocksucker. When you're sucking someone's dick, you're about eye level with their navel--their bellybutton.
Well you learn something new everyday. I had always thought it meant time wasting.
How come the fudyists know all the slang terms for sex acts?
So...
1. Gay people don't find you desirable since they want to be with other gay people
2. You don't find gay people desirable since you're not gay
Given those two facts, how do gay people adversely affect your quality of life?
Well, if you see a correlation you like, why bother thinking about causation. I mean, it justifies your prejudices and preconceptions, so it's all good.
Decreasing fertility?
Good, then gay marriage will offset the Quiverfull types and we'll actually have a normal rate of population growth again.
Also, the combined mention of gay people and "the invading hordes" reminds me of Ragnar the Barbarian from Oglaf (feel free to search but it's VERY NSFW).
Nuclear weaponry has increased as the number of cars on the road have increased. Therefore cars cause nuclear war! Quick for the good of your nation, drive your car directly into the nearest gorge.
@ freakyfeline
I always thought a navel gazer was someone who meditated. meh, either one works here. Fundies hate the ideas behind meditating and probably think only gays do such crazy things.
The navel gazers can only think about what they want, and never consider how their wants might affect society at large. ... Do you wait til civilization collapses to prove causation?
This from people who refuse to reduce carbon emissions.
"can only think about what they want, and never consider how their wants might affect society at large"
Uh, actually, that better describes what YOU'RE doing here, and conservative Christians as a whole.
Wow, this falls under so many categories it's hard to place it. It's against gays-who-don't-bother-anyone-and-are-content-to-fuck-eachother-in-the-privacy-of-their-own-homes so you'd think religion. But WAIT! There are correlations here so you think conspiracy theory and this is all just one big plot, but if anything this passage is really about racism and cultural xenophobia. So yeah, count on it folks, some of these people are fucked up in more ways than one, given free reign they'll shackle us all to the cross.
@freaky feline:
@ everyone asking what a 'navel gazer' is:

Actually, a navel gazer is a derogatory term for an intellectual. The belief is that people that are intellectual have nothing better to do with their lives than sit around contemplating their bellybuttons.
Why bellybuttons? Because it's a pointless waste of time.
There appears to be correlation between increasing women's rights, and decreasing fertility both in the US and in Europe.
Okay. I just substituted and made that up, much like John Smith before me. But you've got to admit it's highly likely that women having greater equality has resulted in fewer of us spending our lives popping out babies. So, by John's logic, the increase in women's rights should also result in invading hordes and the destruction of humanity.
Hmm... it's been a few generations now and I'm not seeing any invaders on the horizon just yet. Nor, come to think of it, a decrease in the planet's population.
Decreased fertility is on account of modern technology distracting us from wanting a lot of kids. This is a GOOD thing, else overpopulation would be far more out of control than it already is. In actuality, gay people being allowed to be gay is an incredible benefit to our species at large right now.
you usually wait until you have some evidence, at least....
nah fuck that then itll be too late, lets just put them in camps now and save the hassle later.
"the invading hordes will destroy our homelands."
Um, newsflash for the Americans - we ARE the invading hordes that destroy homelands.
"but like so many people, forget about "responsibility""
Like the responsibility to your fellow human beings to not treat them like pure evil?
Ahaaa! So it was my support of human rights for gay people that made me infertile! Good to know, no wonder the doctors couldn't find any problems, then.
Strangely enough, my mum and dad have no problem with gay rights either (I believe), and they had four kids.
Gays already have the same "responsibilities" as everyone else; pay taxes and bills, follow the laws, be polite and kind to your fellow humans, etc.
Confused?
