If this is about taxes then listen up. Have fun in Texas when they have to raise your taxes to pay for your new army, air force, navy, patrol their borders, etc. What? Didn't you know that NASA would leave, all the air force, army, navy bases would be closed as well as all the equipment being taken away, Lockheed, Boeing would leave since they don't want to be seen supporting a rebel of the United States. And I bet a lot of the medical research facilitates would as well.

And don't you know for every dollar Alaskans give in federal taxes, Alaska receives back $1.84. I bet they don't want to kill the golden goose up north, Texas gets 94 cents.

I almost wish all the fundies would move to Texas, and then have it secede. Moving the US forward would be a lot easier without having to carry these kicking and screaming morons along the way. After they've implemented their ideas and Texas becomes a third world nation maybe, just maybe, they'd learn something.

The suffering this would cause however makes me wish it doesn't happen though.

As for listen to "we the people", I didn't hear you complaining when Bush was thumbing his nose at the wish of the populace. So why now?

I'd gladly go along with the idea of Texas seceding if it meant all you close minded, reactionary, bigoted fucks would go along with it. But it's doubtful they could without suffering an unparalled economic collapse since a substantial part of Texas' economy is tied to the government money trough and with it's oil reserves dwindling it has little to offer the world market.

And you wouldn't even have the full support of your fellow Texans. Check the poll results: 41 percent of them voted for Obama. Between the infighting, the corporations and military and NASA all leaving, and the collapse of your ecomony, you'll be begging to be allowed back into the union.
