And you know he'd keep trying, his 'faith' being such that he even makes such statements. Thus he'd be like one of those old 'bump-n-go' toys of yore, which keeps backing up and going in the same direction, to no avail.
The station staff (whose business has gone up greatly, post-book publishing/film releases) there would love a good laugh, as would the tourists there - even the "HP" enthusiasts - who know the difference between reality and fiction.
