As a creationist I have studied biology, geology, astronomy, physics, history, logic, theology, and many other assorted subjects.
I question the depth of this alleged study...and whether it amounts to anything more than "I have three black belts and a supermodel wife!"
Yet I am still called stupid, uneducated, brainwashed, deluded, and any other contemptuous adjective. That is evolutionists' favorite argument against creationists.
Well it's not like you guys are any more creative slandering us. At least evolution has evidence behind it.
Most evolutionists are comfortable viewing creationism with contempt. However, if they would study it with a discerning mind, they would find out how rational it is.
Yeah, no. It amounts to "GODDIDIT! How can you not see it? Otherwise trees wouldn't be so tree-ish, and the sky wouldn't be such a pretty shade of blue, oh it's all too PERFECT to not be designed!"
If someone is convinced that black people are not good writers, why would they read stories by Langston Hughes or Richard Wright? That would contradict their own prejudices.
Except this isn't prejudice. We're familiar with your hypothesis. Mind you there's mounds and scads of "stunning evidence" you guys talk about that we never do get to see...perhaps when you finally do decide to put up or shut up, we'll be swayed.
I have perused "Creationism's Trojan Horse." The book is just one big fallacy. The biggest one is "Appeal to Motive." They don't bother dealing with the premises of ID, they just whine that IDers are just trying to get creationism into the schools.
No, we complain on HOW you're doing it. It has no scientific merit whatsoever, and any biologist will laugh you out of town for even broaching the subject...before decimating you with examples of observed evolution (Nylon eating bacteria, I believe is an example. Archeopteryx fossils are another) and inconsistencies of God's flawless design (Who would logically put food intake RIGHT beside air intake? And what's with the vestigial organs?) So what do you do? You cry and whine to the courts on how you're being persecuted, and how the kids should be taught both sides...blithely ignoring the fact that there re hundreds...possibly thousands of creation myths...and decide for themselves which is real. Mind you, you work just as tirelessly to smear evolution to get it out of schools, but you really just want equal time, and not want to sneak yours in the back door, and then push ours out the front...right?
There is no good scientific evidence for evolution. It is not even a scientific theory or hypothesis. Evolution is much like the dead guy in "Weekend at Bernie's."
Except the fact that we have fossils chronicling a steady change, observed evolution even within a couple generations, and have compared DNA between species to have close enough correlation to establish a general descent. (Something like 98% of our DNA is similar to an Ape's?)
