I consider atheism a faith-based religion for a few reasons.
Hmm... now, would these be reasons or would they be what you BELIEVE are reasons?
I'll betting on the latter...
For one, you believe that there can be an effect without a cause, i.e. the universe exists with no cause outside of itself.
Oh dear... allow me to fix that for you...
For one, I believe that you believe that there can be an effect without a cause, i.e. I believe that you believe the universe exists with no cause outside of itself. Theists believe Atheists believe that on faith. Meanwhile, Theists believe that there can be an effect without a cause, i.e. a god of some kind. Theists admit to believing this on faith while saying that believing something on faith is a bad thing. Yes, I am being contradictory here.
See how it works?
Atheists also believe in mythical creatures for which there is no evidence, i.e. all the transitional forms between lizard and mammal, for instance.
Ah... out with the fixin' hammer again...
Atheists also believe in accept mythical creatures for which there is no fucktons of evidence, i.e. all the transitional forms between lizard and mammal, for instance.
Spot the difference yet?
Thirdly, atheists believe that natural selection can turn fish into eagles, which again is faith.
*sigh* out with the hammer again...
Thirdly, I believe that atheists believe that natural selection can turn fish into eagles, which again is faith. Really, the Atheists accept the evidence that I reject
And...
Thus, atheism is faith based.
Stop! It's Hammer Time!
Thus, I reject reality and believe that atheism is faith based when it really isn't... and stating that it is, is breaking the 9th commandment so I'm going to hell
Yes... much better.
