IQ tests aren't so clever themselves, actually. (Stephen Jay Gould wrote an eye-opening book about them called The Mismeasure of Man.) But even so, I am highly suspicious of any claim that an IQ test rated Marilyn Monroe as more intelligent than Albert Einstein. That has got to be an urban legend at best.

IQ tests aren't actually all that accurate as a definition of intelligence, they only measure one's ability to problem solve and recognize patterns.

In all fairness, he might have meant Marilyn vos Savant. But in any case, IQ tests are only a good measure of your ability to take IQ tests, and if he's relying on Einstein as evidence for his side I've got this to say:

suuuuure she could have supplied not only the necessary eqiations vital for the success of the atomic bomb much sooner, but also to have created the thermonuclear device first, thus the USSR would have been conquered - or at least cowed into fear so much, therefore the USA would have become the only emerging superpower decades before now.

IQ tests are random general knowledge tests (read "random" at it's utmost). Even Mensa's not definitive, there's thousands of them.
In a general knowledge one Marilyn would outperform Einstein as he lived Physics and cared little for anything else.
