Quote# 5756

And what does being a great pacifist mean? Ghandi was still a sinner and still fell short of God's glory. Had he repented of his sins to God, he'd be in Heaven and probably receive many rewards for his good deeds on Earth. But he rejected God, and died to his sins.

Man, your requirements are sure stringent if someone like Ghandi can't get to your so-called heaven. Hence, one reason I don't subscribe to your beliefs. It doesn't sound like that great a place if you're keeping Ghandi out.

Well Ghandi wasn't all nice and stuff (look up his positions on the casts system) but was far from an asshole.

But now, getting killed by a religious extremist from another religion is a sign that God wants you dead? Self-fullfiling prophecies at their finest.

Not quite. If it was "I killed you therefore God wanted you dead" it would be better.

Under Christianity, you could murder 42 people, apologize, and still go to heaven. Ya, I want to be there.

Therefore, your god is an epic asshole who punishes great people merely for not sucking his almighty dick enough. QED.

How does somebody die "to" his sins?

It's nauseating that you feel you have the right to judge Gandhi, a person who did more for humanity than your basement-dwelling ass ever could.
