Where is your proof there are religions older than Judaism?
I hear people make this claim a lot. Where is your proof?
"radiometric dating"?
*sneers* that's proof of nothing.

I'm sure you don't understand the assumtions radiometric dating is based on. But that's okay. Your proffessor says its true, so he must be right.

Translation : I bore people with my willful ignorance and stupidity a lot.

It would be more effective if you stamped your foot instead of sneering. And maybe beat your fists on the floor, too. If you're lying down, you can really kick the floor with your heels, hard! That is very impressive.
Uh, that Hindu civilization, the Egyptians, Sumerians and Babylonians would like to have a word with you...
There are at least two idjits in the above quote: Servant of Jesus, obviously; and also the one who thinks "radiometric dating" is a good answer. Why would you need radiometric dating when India and some other countries with a Hindu culture have a pipeline of written historical texts that can be traced much farther back than the beginning of Judaism?
Lol, the thing about professors is that they explain WHY something is true. You're confusing them with the preacher at your local church. If you have ever taken any University course, you'd know this. Oh, also, Humanity has a wonderful ability to document our world with written language. We know the Greeks, Romans, and Egyptians (to name a few) were very religious and all civilizations were at their respective heydays before Judaism.
Lesse here, Judaism places the age of the earth at 6,000 years ago, so the religion must be younger than that. The Egyptians settled the Nile valley 10,000 years ago.
tl;dr bite my boner.
EDIT:
Egypt was actually settled 10,000 BC, 12,000 years ago. Sorry, I misread.
tl;dr lick my hair cock
So what you're saying is that before Abraham, everyone was an atheist?
Cool. We've been around longer than you guys. GTFO n00bs.
Setting aside Shinto, Hinduism, early Paganism and any number of others for a moment...
didn't they find a series of hour-glass shaped temples underwater off an island in Japan?
As in, pre-ice age?
@Jezebel's Evil Sister: The quote is from the original post. Servant of Jesus is just doing some typical fundie poisoning of the well.
Fundies seem to think the only method science ever uses to date something is radiometrics.
Um Hinduism is one of the worlds oldest religions. Judaism stemed from Zoroastrianism. Zoroastrianism stemmed from Hinduism. which was one of the first religions to claim that there is one God.
Not to mention all the ancient mythologies of the greeks romans and the egyptians who believed in many Gods.
Paganism, Shinto, Hinduism, Australian aboriginal beliefs...
Just to name a few, all of which have proof that they are much older.
Also, since your a Jesus worshipper, You have one of the youngest religions in the world. 1600 years is nothing in human history
that, and the fact you have a second hand, altered religion
"Where is your proof there are religions older than Judaism?"
Zoroastrianism.
Hinduism
Ancient Egyptian Ptah & Ra Worship (indeed, it's said that Monotheism stems from Akhenaten's theological invention of the 'Aten')
And the oldest of them all. Monolith Worship:

Texts that are older than the originals of the Bible, texts that seem to be the originals from which the stories in the Bible have been copied.
Actually, I do understand part of the basis for radiometric dating. You start with something that we know the age of, like trees (we can count the tree-rings and we know that the tree grows one ring for every year it lives). Then you can measure the radiometric read-out from the trees. When you know what the read-out is for every age, you can double-check that against other things we know the age of, and then move on to date things we don't know the age of. It's fairly straight-forward, really.
You're the one who take something for true just because some old book says so. We question everything, before we accept it to be correct.
What's funny is that I can prove it using the Bible.
The Bible speaks of idolatrous religions which Abraham rejected, choosing monotheism instead. Jewish tradition holds that Abraham's father was an idol-maker. Therefore, according to the Bible itself, Judaism is not the oldest religion.
Let's start with this : Where's your evidence your god exists?
And no, an ancient book written by man that claims your god exists isn't evidence.
Confused?
So were we! You can find all of this, and more, on Fundies Say the Darndest Things!
