there are many many reasons why atheists are bad parents and un-fit to raise kids but the only one that LAWS should be used to stop them is a law that says only god fearing bible reading parents can have kids. if the bible is gods word(manual for living) and a person does not read it than how can they know how to raise kids? answer me that? how can they teach them what is right and what is wrong? how can they pray vfor god to watch over them and halp when things get bad. athiests are sooooo stupid and incompentant. how/why can they be trusted with kids?

Got it covered:
Parenting For Dummies, 2nd Edition
Oh yes, a book that tells me I must stone my child to death for being disobedient is definitely the ideal guide to being a parent.
Oh, and when things get bad, I don't need to pray to some sky fairy for things to get better. I get off my ass and MAKE them better.
Well, atheists don't beat the crap out of children for being gay. Well, maybe some do, but the majority seems to be Christians. Also, atheists don't force their kids to sit on hard wooden pews every Sunday and hear about how they're going to hell from a guy on the pulpit who then goes home and beats his wife after raping his daughter. (that guy was my mom's hometown's minister. She wasn't sorry when he died.)
"is a law that says only god fearing bible reading parents can have kids."
Go form a Christian version of Saudi Arabia if that is what you want. Otherwise, STFU.
so we should take advice on how to raise our kids from someone who drowned theirs?
edit... i just looked at this guys website. he's got to be joking. he spells the same words with different incorrect spellings, not to mention the fact that he curses every 5 words. either he's a poe, or seriously mentally retarded.
Of course this person has no concept that morals don't have to come from religion. Plus this is largely rooted in one simple logical fallacy: circular logic.
Who says religion doesn't breed ignorance?!
Tim Cosgrove, I agree with you 100%!
How else would I know how much to charge when I sell my daughter into slavery? The bible tells me everything I need in order to do a good slave trade!
...if the bible is gods word...
That's a big 'if' you've got there, Tim, and it should be ...if the Bible is God's word... too. While I'm in Grammar Nazi mood you'd be well advised not to call other people incompetent as you can't even spell the word yourself. Sheesh, how can we trust the illiterate to raise kids?
Here's a chart of the most atheist nations with nearly fifty more atheist than the USA.

And guess what? They all manage to raise kids pretty well.
What is this? Breeders* for Jeezus?
*Breeders is a derogatory term used in childfree circles to describe people who senselessly procreate without any thought as to how they are going to raise their crotch-dumplings. It also describes people who want special treatment for doing something as natural as procreating, like Tim Cosgrove.
One of the comments made by him:
"fuck all you assholes make fun of me all you want i get to laff last. my spelling does not matter because i have been saved and that is all god cares about. talk all the shit you want you are gonna burn in HELL and i'll be laffin my ass off. you loose."
"answer me that?"
Logic, reasoning, morals, ethics, the fucking laws.
"how can they teach them what is right and what is wrong?"
by talking
"how can they pray vfor god to watch over them and halp when things get bad?"
wtf???
"how/why can they be trusted with kids?"
They aren't as biased as you (hell they could be better)
I agree -- an obvious Poe.
The consistent misspelling of "atheist" as "athiest" has to be intentional. And putting up Ray Comfort's Banana video with the caption "Banana prooves (sic) God" just makes it clearer.
Yeah, because the only reason I know what right and wrong are is because a man in the sky told me, in detail.
Any human being with an average IQ can easily tell when something is going to harm other people. You don't need to read a goddamn book.
You laugh, but I actually had a good, Christian woman shout a similar thing at me while I was in the parking lot of Target, getting my daughter out of the car and into her car seat. She saw the Darwin fish on my car and started screaming about how my daughter should be taken away from me because I didn't believe in god.
For virtually all of human history, the vast majority of people couldn't fucking read.
Plus, atheists probably HAVE read the Bible. Have you?
If this isn't a troll, may I just say that you are advocating persecution and discrimination of someone based on their religious beliefs, or lack there-of. You have officially lost the right to say that you are persecuted. And by the way, good parenting has nothing to do with religion.
Confused?
