But I hear all these stories about people being molested as a child and that's why they chose the gay lifestyle. Woman say they can't stand the smell of a man because it brings back that bad memory. Some woman even change their appearance to look like a man because sub-consiously they don't want to attract a man.
I still think that's a cop out and it is a choice, my sister-in-law was molested as a child and she's married with a child. So, yes, I agree 100% that it's a choice. I just worry that something may have happened to my niece as a child that she is keeping bottled up inside.
How do I witness to someone who may have inner angry that I can't understand? If I ask her "did someone do something inappropriate to you to make you gay" ... my family will lose their minds. Some of my family believe that you are born gay. And my sister would NEVER admit that something may have happened. She left when my niece was little and still has the guilt.

Oh for the love of Christ!
I was never molested, yet im bisexual.
Why do people keep believing in this nonsense?
"my sister-in-law was molested as a child and she's married with a child"
Buddy, ever here the expression "pissing on your own bonfire"?
I've got "inner angry" right this very second.
And, oh yeah, we all believe that you're worried about your niece because of something that most likely never happened to her, and not pissed off because one of Them--the ho-mo-SEX-shulls--is in your very own family! I'm glad this woman has her other relatives.
Meh, I've known gays who have turned gay because of bad experiences with the opposite sex.
And if they prefer their own gender, so fucking what?
You're an asshole. You don't just start liking the same sex just because you no longer like the opposite sex. That's like saying I don't like ketchup on my hot dog, therefore I know that I will love using mustard.
I'm gay and I was never molested, and I didn't choose to be gay anymore than you made the choice to be straight.
"But I hear all these stories about people being molested as a child"
Shut your TV off, or else leave your barstool, or else stop hanging out with the winos, and you'll stop hearing such stories, kiddo.
"...my sister-in-law was molested as a child and she's married with a child. So, yes, I agree 100% that it's a choice."
That doesn't prove that homosexuality is a choice, it just debunks your own bogus claim that homosexuality is caused by being molested, you fucking moron.
How self-involved do you have to be to think all women want out of life is a man, and if they don't, you think they're defective?
Arrogance - u haz 2 much of it.
But I hear all these stories about people being molested as a child and that's why they chose the gay lifestyle.
Then stop listening to stories and hearsay and try a few sound, unbiased statistical surveys sometime.
FYI Just to point out a glaring flaw in your logic:I was molested and I'm straight. (Although there is a certain aftershave that STILL makes me gag!)
If it makes any gay people feel better, 50 years ago, people used the argument that "left handed people choose to be left handed" as a society we've accepted that you can't choose your "handedness" so, it's only a matter of time before they clue in that you can't choose your sexuality...won't be long now...won't be long.
To be an effective witness, first learn the distinctions betwen things you have seen, hearsay, and conjecture.
>...my sister-in-law was molested as a child and she's married with a child. So, yes, I agree 100% that it's a choice.
I knew a guy who smoked for 60 years and never got cancer. So, yes, I agree 100% that cancer is a choice.
But I hear all these stories about people being molested as a child and that's why they chose the gay lifestyle
And I hear all these stories of how people are taken by UFOs!

Um, no. I'm a lesbian, and I don't dislike men at all. I just find women very beautiful and sexual.

That's just stupid.

*sigh* The stupid overwhelms me.
Heh I wasn't molested...and I'm a big ol' lesbo. I actually had a pretty great childhood. How do you explain that??
Oh, thats right, because you can't. Because you're full of BULLSHIT.
By that logic, all the boys who got fondled by priests should be gay, and any girls who suffered the same should all be lesbians. But, they're not. Some have even gone on to marry and have kids and show no sexual attraction to members of their own sex.
You know that stories are not neccessarily true, don't you? And why would anyone who hates men change her apperance to look like a man???
Maybe, just maybe, one or two bisexuals, that was molested as children, later chooses to involve themselves only with the opposite sex of that of the molestor.
How do you witness TO someone? You see a crime, you ARE a witness.
And who is it that was molested? Your sister-in-law, your niece or your sister? Whoever she is, if she wants to talk, she will do that, with someone who cares about her.
Confused?
