/I think it is just so incredibly sad that these women hate being female./
I think it is just so incredibly sad that some men and indeed, some brainwashed women, hate the female half of the human species.
/They are seeking validation and respect by going after roles intended for men, so sad./
Intended by whom? Society? God? If you actually opened a history book, you'd see that the roles of men and women have not been the same throughout history or throughout the world. In Celtic tribes and Native American tribes, women actually wielded quite a bit of power. There have been female monarchs, prime ministers, and presidents. So, for you to declare what the role a woman should serve is quite arrogant and insulting.
/It is not like scripture is wishy washy on this, it is not rocket science./
Actually, it is. On the one hand, you have the misogynistic rules set by the Old Testament (which also contains some strong women such as Esther, Ruth, Deborah, and Judith) and by Paul. On the other hand, you have Jesus instructing Mary Magdalene to spread the Word to his disciples and allowing women to freely travel with him and spread the news. Not to mention he forgave a woman caught in adultery instead of stoning her to death. So, yes, I would say that it's wishy-washy.
/They preach womens liberation but look down their nose at the roles only females can fill effectively while coveting the roles God gave the males./
Maybe a few feminists do that, but I don't. I am a feminist and as such, I believe that women should have a choice. A CHOICE. If she wants to stay at home and take care of her kids, fine. If she wants to be a career woman, that's fine, too. If she wants to balance the two and can find a way to do it, that's fantastic. As long as she willingly and knowingly chooses what path to take. And "the roles only females can fill effectively?" What about stay-at-home dads? What about single fathers? Not all men are the same, just like not all women are. We are individuals.
/We have made the role of men replaceable, and these women are telling them that they are not really needed, are replaceable,/
Sure. Why don't you go trot along to Wall Street and tell everyone there that female workers are "replacing" men's jobs and that everyone would be better off if the women all quit? That the economy would be just super. I'll be there with a camera as they laugh you out of the building.
/can stick around to do the work that we women once handled so smoothly./
Hate to break it to you, but not all women are cut out to be mothers. Not all of them can "handle it so smoothly." And again, some dads actually like staying home with their kids. It's not rocket science.
/What poor examples for our sons. What poor role models for our girls/
Yes, how dare we show our children that there are alternate career and life choices? How dare we tell our sons who want to be homemakers that it's nothing to be ashamed of? How dare we tell our daughters who want to be athletes and lawyers and doctors to follow their dreams? And how dare we tell our sons and daughters that independent, confident women are actually people to be respected and cherished? For shame!
/It has nothing to do with intelligence,/
I can see that.
/and everything to do with mirroring our relationship with Christ./
No, it has everything to do with your bigoted, stupid, idiotic assertions of how men and women should live their lives. It's the 21st century, moron. Deal with it.
