I agree with (another fundie ranting about the books, all of his posts have been deleted), that's what old satan wants all the parents to think. Making everyone think it is helping their Children read just opens the door for Satan to move in. Haven't seen one of his movies or opened one of his books. Won't have one in my house. He is evil in a very sneaky way.

I think the fundies believe Harry is a real person and that he personally wrote the books and made the movies. :P

Like the Bible, the Harry Potter books are fiction and fast becoming legend. The first one was written by a woman in a Scottish café; Genesis was written in a desert by illiterate and genocidic nomadic tribesmen, allegedly. But more probably by scribes thousands of years after the events didn't take place.

What I found most mind boggling about it is that this individual claims that Satan is using Harry Potter to get into people's houses/mind/whatnot, but has never even read the damn books. It's the evolution thing all over again "I don't know anything about it, but by golly it's ebil!"
