I'm almost 17 (not quite as long, but it's still a while), and I've never been on a date or kissed a girl. It's not that I couldn't get a girlfriend or anything like that, I've just chosen to concentrate on other things. Not having a girlfriend gives me the opportunity to spend more time with God and become closer to Him.

Damn, if you have problems getting a girlfriend don't use God as an excuse,
at least come up with a better one. Heck, I have problems with getting a girlfriend mainly because I always move and I'm shy when it comes to flirting, but you don't see me blaming God.
,madman,You should stop making fun of people like that, you guys. It's constant humiliation that makes them "seek Jebus". I for once am fat and ugly and it took me long time to come to terms with this fact and jokes didn't make it easier...,,Post!
Oh, so when I didn't date in high school it wasn't because I was short and fat, it was because I was getting closer to God! Didn't really work out well, since I became an atheist in my late teens.
It's not that I couldn't become a millionaire, either, I just have . . . well, priorities for right now. There's plenty of time left for millionairing, after I'm done playing, and when I retire from this dead end job; I'm only 63 and a half.
Please, continue to remain celibate - all your life, if possible - the more of your kind that do, the quicker that version of insanity will become extinct.

OK, I'm now working on my 2nd million $.
I've given up all hope for the first one.
So what? I went on my first date at 18, kissed my first guy at 18.
I never strived to spend time with God, I just hadn't found the right guy until then.
It seems I was right to wait, he's still the right guy 24 years later...
There was a similiar guy in my high school class. An annoying teenage christian. Tried to proselytize everyone, everytime, everywhere. He had nothing in his mind but 'Jesus', 'Satan', 'Pureness', 'Holy Scriptures' and similiar nonsense.
It was only a teenage phase. At around age 20, he suddenly realized how stupid and pathetic he was. He is now having a normal life, has a girlfriend. And his bible gets dusty on the bookshelf.
So don't worry for "misterniceguy". There is a high probability that he is okay now. Most teenagers go through such phases. It's an important part of psychological development.
It only gets dangerous when people don't grow up out of their teenage phase. These kind of people then start "conservapedias", try to provoke the world with burning qurans, picket funerals ...
"I've never been on a date or kissed a girl. It's not that I couldn't get a girlfriend or anything like that, I've just chosen to concentrate on other things."
Riiiiight.
"Not having a girlfriend gives me the opportunity to spend more time with God and become closer to Him."
He is talking about masturbation isn't he?
Honestly, I don't think that this sounds like it belongs here. It's hard to know the context, given the POD Warrior Forum is down, but it sounds like he's probably attempting to offer consolation to someone concerned over their inability to find a partner before age 17. He doesn't seem to be telling others that they need to do what he's doing, or anything like that.
A lot of people explore and experiment with religion when they're around the age he was when he made this post. By now, he's 28 years old, and he's probably got a fairly normal life. It's possible that he saw relationships in high school as generally being empty, or otherwise not as worthwhile to him as spending his time on religious and/or academic pursuits. It's not really something that needs to be remembered 11 years after the fact.
So here is a 31 year old man who has never so much as been on a date, yet can still live perfectly well without being in a relationship.
Don't forget: Sir Isaac Newton. Lived 84 years. Died a virgin.
He concentrated on other things. Clearly he proved that it is possible to survive without being in a relationship. And if the quoted OP can live to almost twice his age to today by not being in a relationship, then - unlike, food, water, clothing, shelter & heat - being in a relationship is not a requisite for basic survival. There are so many people in the world who don't have a computer, neither; it seems they can exist perfectly well without one.
So what's your excuse, Mary Jane Lick Sick?
Confused?
