[On the subject of an elementary school having a 'rainbow day.']
Well, I decided not to let my daughter go to school that day. She understands fully what this day is for. I explained to her that they are doing this day to show support of homosexuality and she immediately said "no, no, no, I will not go to school that day and you can just tell them I'm sick because it makes me sick". Spoken from a 6 yr old!
I am so proud of her and G-d has given her such a deep understanding spiritually that it's amazing.

Are you SURE it had to do with homosexuality?
Like I said before, my niece's preschool had Rainbow Day, and it was to learn about colors.
But I guess, if you don't want your kid to get educated, by all means, keep her home.
Your kid's a retard.
Surprise, surprise.
Congratulations on indoctrinating a six year-old to be a hateful bigot.
You know who's really sick? That would be you, mum.
I feel sorry for your child.
This is just sad. Of course a six year old is going to say homosexuality is 'sickening' if that's all they're ever told.
Yeah and gay people are the ones with the problem. They should just flock to these good Christians who say queers are disgusting... Right.
Yes because no child has ever been able to pick up on the fact that their parent is crazy and play along to get out of school. The fact that she suggested that you lie to them and tell her she was sick is rather suspicious. Speaking of which, I'm surprised (ha) that you let her get away with that. If she really wanted to stay home for moral reasons should you have not corrected her and told her that we tell people that's why and not encourage her to sin by lying? I guess you're too busy being concerned what other people do to be bothered (or even consider) such a "small" point that is only one of the fundemental concepts of your religion.
Awww ..... What a good little parrot you've raised there.
Wait 10 years, you'll be wondering what the hell happened.
Why aren't they outside of the school on rainbow day protesting? Why don't they attend a school board meeting and complain about the homosexual agenda being thrust upon defenseless school kids? There's so many positive things they could do instead of just complaining about society!
Note that I'm using "positive" in the "taking action vs whining" sense, not in any moral sense of the word.
I am so sickened by your and your indoctrination of your innocent daughter.
It's just a fucking rainbow. Little children are supposed to wear bright colors because that's how kindergarten and shit like that works. It has nothing to do with homosexuality.
Get over it.
Gee dash Dee sure is a good guy, isnt' He?
Er, why don't they just call him God already?
This reminds me of those youtube videos you see where some guy points a camera at his four year old kid and they say something like, 'Liberals are stupid'. You can just bet this was said in that 'pho - ne - tic' way that indicates this child is simply pulling the right levers to gain approval from their trainer/parent.
I don't get what's so amazing about a child hating a group of people when she's been trained to for 6 straight years and had no opportunity to consider any other way of acting. If you want to be amazed by your daughter's deep understanding let her travel the world in her teens. Let her meet and speak to new people, let her read and watch anything she chooses to and then ask her if she hates homosexuals.
Great start on teaching hate there kell. Next you can teach her to hate blacks, mexicans, orientals, women(even though she is one), and moderate Christians. Then she can wonder why nobody likes her and everyone thinks she's an unfriendly asshole. Of course being a self-righteous fundie bigot, she will then claim anti-Christian persecution!
Yes your indoctrination gives her a "deep understanding", is she even old enough to be aware of what does and doesn't make her feel sick?
I also doubt "rainbow day" had anything to do with gays if we're talking about kindergarten or 1st grade. What a retarded paranoid parent.
So...what is so bad about rainbow day? They'd pair up the boys during kindergarten nap time and have them all blow each other? If you just stopped to think about what you're talking about, you'd understand how fucking ludicrous it is. Oh wait. You never will.
Hate breeds hate. I hope, for your kid's sake, that you understand one day how fucked up you're making her. Because she will.
The parent in question obviously has serious boundary issues if a child that age is already homophobic. On another note, there's a definite consensus among the people posting comments, so I guess we're all preaching to the choir. Shouldn't we be taking steps to actually engage the poor people who post these messages we disdain?
If one reads the RR thread, no one ever says that the "rainbow day" had anything to do with gay pride. The school said it was a drug awareness event. But, the OP, and other RR freaks, all agreed it had to be about forcing their kids to be gay. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but did these idiots never consider that a day set aside to recognize anything serves no purpose if the purpose is kept secret? Or maybe encouraging kids to wear rainbows is enough to indoctrinate without talking about "unnatural" sex.
Just when I think I've seen the stupidest thing ever, someone posts on RR and lowers the bar again, and again.
BTW, kelly, you are forcing your child to be stupider than you. This is bad.
Proud, are ya? Proud?? Proud to have raised and brainwashed a six year old child to be just as bigoted and narrow minded as your fucked up self? I could think of many words, but "proud" ain't one of them! Sick fuck.
"'Up with your hands!' yelled a savage voice. A handsome, tough-looking boy of nine had popped up from behind the table and was menacing him with a toy automatic pistol, while his small sister, about two years younger, made the same gesture with a fragment of wood. 'You're a traitor!' yelled the boy. 'You're a thought-criminal! You're a Eurasian spy! I'll shoot you, I'll vaporize you, I'll send you to the salt mines!' Suddenly they were both leaping round him, shouting 'Traitor!' and 'Thought-criminal!' the little girl imitating her brother in every movement." -- George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four
You know, the magical pink unicorn takes the time to fart out these rainbows, kelly, and if your child snubs her again, she will just stop coming to your school. And this will make the other children very, very sad.
I hope you're happy knowing that you're making the other children sad, kelly.
BTW, the people on here wondering about her spelling god "G-d" is because in the Jewish tradition especially, you are not supposed to write out god's name. I guess some of the uber-Christians like this dumbass picked it up too.
Yeah, my parents were so proud the first time I faked illness to avoid taking a test as well!
Oh, wait. No they weren't. They sent me to school anyway, and I was forced to learn, damn them all!
Disgusting, 6 years old and you have already turned the child into an intolerant homophobe.
That rainbow day was made for a reason
you should be sad not to have your child go to rainbow day, god made the rainbow to show his love for us by promising never to flood us out again lol, isnt that what the bible says, so be proud! this is so weird, the things ppl come up with. oh by the way dont let her watch seasame street or any other color tv k, it is a brainwashing technique used to make us all gay friendly, cause they use the colors from the rainbow and that obviously = homosexuality/lesbian stuff right good pet.

I've heard that some Jews are taught to avoid writing out the full name of God, because if any piece of paper the name is written on happens to get burnt later on -- say, in the city garbage dump's incinerator after the piece of paper is crumpled up and thrown away -- then they've inadvertently committed blasphemy.
The same practice is carried over into electronic media out of habit.
Why anyone in the Rapture Ready crowd would give a load of dingo's kidneys about the practices of Jews, though, is anybody's guess.
Well, I decided not to let my daughter go to school that day. She doesn't understand fully what this day is for, but I told her that they are doing this day to show support of homosexuality because the rainbow is the instrument of the filthy abominations and because I'm a paranoid homophobe, and she immediately said "No, no, no, I will not go to school that day and you can just tell them I'm sick because it makes me sick." Spoken from a 6 year old who knows that her mother is an inhuman bigot!
I am so proud of myself because I have given her such deep homophobic bigotry that it's amazingly sickening.
/Fixed/
You're so proud of your brainwashed deluded daughter who has learned to hate rather than to love from you?
It makes her sick? What makes her sick? How much have you been telling her? I'd say most 6-year-old kids would think straight sex is pretty sick if they had it explained to them.
Wasn't the rainbow God's covenant with humans, never to drown the world again? If G-dash-d has given her such a deep understanding spiritually, shouldn't that be the first thing "rainbow day" would mean to her?
Confused?
