[In a topic on sex-ed]
My DD is in the 8th grade in Montgomery County. DH and I discussed this issue and were greatly distressed about this class. It is horrible. They are shoving the homosexual agenda down our kids throats. My DD is a born again christian and we talked with her. She told me that she wanted to attend the class to share the truth. She said she will probably be the only person standing up for God. When they discuss homosexuality she will share that it is a sin and not normal. That people are not born homosexuals but are born sinners.
Praise God for giving me a DD that is bold for Christ.

Of course. In the same way that acknowledging other religions is a persecution of christians.
Just curious tho, what's a DD? Designated Driver?
Really? You think they'll be pushing a "homosexual agenda" in fucking Alabama ? Or, for that matter, in any sex ed class?
They're going to teach your kid what a vagina is, what a penis is, what ova and sperm are, and how to combine these items. I imagine you'll still object, but you're all a bunch of morons to think that sex ed focuses on the various ways in which people of various sexes can fuck one another.
@ Stoat: "DD == Dear Daughter"
@Mattural Selection: "Seems like a bit of a messed up way to refer to them tho. "
It's just a kind of shorthand like DIAF or WTF. I use DH for Dear Hubby all the time...saves a few keystrokes, that's all.
Hahahaha!! Lendingheart posted this: (bolding mine)
They need to be taught DONT DONT DONT... and show graphic pics of what herpies and goneria ( and teach them to spell it) let them see what VD looks like on them, and tell them what it feels like.
so the "DD" is going to a class she would otherwise avoid so she can "witness" for Jeebus the "evil" that is homosexuality. She'll be lucky if she's only tossed out of the class. She's likely to be ridiculed as well and hopefully tormented for a day or two, just so she knows what it feels like to be persecuted before she goes and does it to others.
Yeah, good luck with that.
See, this is why homosexuality should be brought up in schools... It can be discussed matter-of-factly and kids aren't led to believe that their sexuality is 'omgsin!'
That's NOT being bold for Christ, that's being bold for Fred Phelps. Do you remember what Jesus said was the whole of the law? Do you also remember what is the fate of those who call him Lord and do not do what he says?
You do NOT get to say that doing evil in God's name is allowed under the 'Love God' instruction. That's why the witch-burners, Inquisition and Gay-bashers will burn in Hell, under the both the teachings of Jesus and the dictates of Justice.
I'm embarrassed that these fools are apparently my neighbors. Most people in Montgomery County, MD, are well-educated and fairly liberal, but it's still likely that Deluded Daughter is going to be mocked and shunned for the rest of her school career if she goes through with her threat. I feel sorry for that brainwashed child.
If you refuse to teach her, and you force the school not to teach her, then she is going to find out some other way.
And the last place you want her learning her sex-ed is from some drunk frat boy or pastor. (Am I being redundant there?)
Fundie 1: They need to be taught DONT DONT DONT... and show graphic pics of what herpies and goneria ( and teach them to spell it) let them see what VD looks like on them, and tell them what it feels like.
Fundie 2: YES, YES, YES! Of course they won't since sex is so glorified!! And are they going to teach that there ARE STD's they can catch even with a condom????
Er, can't you catch ALL the STDs even with a condom (if it tears, for example)?
Her name is Anita?! How dare she bear the name of one of my better friends?! She shall rot in Hell!
@ Stoat "DD == Dear Daughter
DH == Dear Husband"
Oh, and here I was thinking DH stood for Developmentally Handicapped and DD stood for Developmentally Disabled. Thanks for clearing that up.
I'm with those who think a 13-year-old must be seriously fucked up to be called born-again. She will learn what it feels like to be ostracized. She will [hopefully] also learn that religious fundamentalism is much more socially "abnormal" than the ghey.
Hell is for people who twist young children like that.
If someone in my sex-ed class did that, I would pay the entire class, including the teacher, to turn to him/her and say, "SHUT UP!"
Well, the Bible doesn't say people are not born homosexuals, and science has some evidence that they are; so this 13 year old knows that people are not born homosexuals because ... ?
Hint: fundies come up with their opinions first, then look for justification.
Perhaps DD is lying to you, so that your family o' fundtards doesn't deny her the opportunity to take the Sex-Ed class.
It could be that she's bold for something else.
According to the movie "Bible Camp" around 50% of these idiots are "saved" by the age of 13. Obviously they're held under long enough to cause permanent brain damage, but not long enough to kill them.
Although at that age I wonder if she just said that to her mother so that mommy dearest would sign the authorization papers. Maybe she's feeling attracted to girls? Maybe she wants to learn more about her own sexuality?
Or she's an idiot who will get torn apart by her class mates, and that's just more evidence for the persecution of Christians.
BTW: Wasn't there another post on RR saying how evil ScoobyDoo was because of all the witchcraft?
I have to agree with those who said the daughter's probably saying that so that her parents will sign the permission forms. Let's face it, an 8th-grader wants to be with her friends, especially when there's something juicy like sex-ed class to giggle about over lunch. She'd probably say anything to her parents to get the permission slip signed.
*Facepalms* She's going to get shot down by the administration for being a loud-mouthed bigot in her class, and the parents are going to want to sue for religious persecution. This is a definite no-win situation for our side (the open-minded).
*Sigh* This should *really* be considered child abuse. That poor girl's going to be ostracized.
You've raped that cartoon.
Also, I've decided I don't like you, your husband, or your daughter.
"Praise God for giving me a DD that is bold for Christ."
The Lord giveth and He taketh away. I suggest you prepeare yourself for DD getting taken away in a bucket after the school's pissed off gay population corner her in the playground.
"and show graphic pics of what herpies... looks like on them"
1. You misspelled herpes.
2. 1/3 of people have herpes, and almost everyone has had it at one point. Why? Because sex isn't the only way to transmit it. But the fundies wouldn't know/want you to know this.
Btw, if she is picked on for this, this would just make her feel more right, as fundies think that if people think you're doing it wrong, you're doing it right!
"Praise God for giving me a DD that is bold for Christ."
ok, I know its wrong, but I read this is as 'Praise God for giving me a Direct Damage spell that is bold for Christ' but then I think I play too many MMORPG's xD
Shouldn't people have rights to say what they want against homosexual, I mean why does everyone have to love homosexuals anyways. If think gays are sinful then you should have that rights, if atheist and non-christians can say christians are wacko's, then shouldn't be the same on both side. Im ''techinal bisexual'' but I don't idenitified myself as such, and I no longer practice same sex behavior, I could be called a celebacy bisexual, but their no point too it. Sure I agree that fundie kinda make alot of BS about gays and I don't agree with it. Maybe the gay community should do better, I mean hiv/std, promiouses(sp), very unsafe sex practice(anal), I mean if more gays had jesus in their lives maybe they will be celebacy or at least in safe mono relationship, and none would be sodomy(anal) practicers. The non-christians gay, and the sodomy practings gays are most likely going to hell, unless they at least repent. Im not homophobic, Just speaking what needs to be said.
truerelgion: Let's see here.
Christians exist and these are their beliefs (insert beliefs)--not okay!
Christians are all going to hell and they have disgusting practices--okay!
Hate speech isn't so nice when it's turned on you.

HELLO SCUZZYDOO, it says that the kid can take alternative sex-ed, so what is your bitch? The fact that OTHER people's children might learn something useful?
I say:
Alternative sex ed? Wouldn't that be ABOUT gay sex? Wish I had THAT when I was in school. I had to learn it in the back of an AMC Matador. Oh, have I said too much?
OH! This one time, at band camp...
Christians exist and these are their beliefs (insert beliefs)--not okay!
Christians are all going to hell and they have disgusting practices--okay!
Hate speech isn't so nice when it's turned on you.
I don't hate gays, how can a '' techinal bisexual'' as myself hate gays, huh. I believe some have very immoral behavior.
Most fundie(or all) would never give a non-sodomy, or a relationship gay any credit,to them kissing your own sex is sinful,it's not only sodomy(anal) is. (and Promiscuous is not good of any kind)SO DON'T EVER DARE SAY I HATE GAYS, I HATE SOME THEIR BEHAVIORS,OK.
@truereligion
Hi!
I don't hate all religious people, just some of their behaviors. Telling people they need more jeebus, and that their sexual practices are sinful are just the kind of things that show one to be an intolerant fucktard. I think "technical bisexuals" could do better to just accept themselves and instead of getting all sanctimonious about others' practices. Jesus does not, and never did exist, so your thoughts on how he might affect other peoples' lives are meaningless.
I'm not against the religiously deluded, I am just saying what needs to be said!
I am a Christian, but people like this make me very angry. Their hate speak is ridiculous, and to top it off they don't even know their own religion. I hope that the daughter is going to that class because she is curious. I will never understand the people that are spouting such cruelties when their own savior said "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." These people need to STFU and stop hurting the name of an awesome cartoon character.
@truereligion:
The principle or reciprocity is one of the basic ethical principles. Basically, any right you claim for yourself you must also support for others. So, if you claim the right to interrupt a fact-based class with your judgments and doctrines regarding other people, you must allow them the same right -- to interrupt with arrogance and venom whenever a Christian admits their presence.
The concept of the Christian standing up, expressing her faith and everyone being really impressed is a Fundie fantasy. Jack chicks garbage has everyone converting after (except the slobbering freaked out evil teacher of course) I think a lot of Fundie kids Know what buttons to push to defuse their parents fear of knowledge. Bad thing is It's creating a generation of manipulitive kids who still have that brainwashing as part of them
a snippet:
"...I love it because when we go in the Rapture so do all kids below the age of accountability..."
Where did this "age of accountability" come from? Nothing about it in the babble where ALL are born in sin, and all must come to Jesus as their personal trainer, I mean saviour!
It's the teacher that is sharing the truth, actually. Your Delusional Daughter is merely sharing the humbug she's been indoctrinated with by you.
It's also a sin to wear clothes of mixed fabrics, and to cut your hair and beard.
Wasn't there some hippie Jew who said "He who is without sin, cast the first stone"?
Praise God for giving you a gullible Delusional Daughter?
Confused?
