I did read the Bible, and here is what I found:
Exd 21:22-25: "If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart [from her], and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman's husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges [determine]. And if [any] mischief follow, then thou shalt give life for life, Eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, foot for foot, Burning for burning, wound for wound, stripe for stripe."
So abortion isn't the same as any of those other things.
Let's see the Bible commands you not to murder. Murder is the unlawful act of killing someone. The United State government has decreed that first trimester abortions are legal, and therefore are not murder. Ergo, abortion is not murder.
Couldn't your god find a better spokesperson than you? Think about it, SOF. Surely, in all the world, there must be a fundie whose IQ exceeds room temperature.

Abortion was happening, even in biblical times (although much more primitive and dangerous). Don't you think if life began at conception and abortion was murder, the bible would specifically mention abortion? As it happens there's no reference to it. The qu'ran does, directly (I believe the verse goes something along the lines of "no severer of womb-mother ties shall ever enter paradise"), but not the bible. Are you going to admit they've got a better book?
I have read the Bible, so perhaps you'd like to give a bigger hint? One that relates to abortion in any way (instead of the resurrection of Christ and the Great Commission)?

First, Mt 28 says sweet fuck all about anyone other than Jesus being able to speak for God...
Second, the Bible does mention that anyone claiming to speak for God, other than those directly appointed by God, are to be stoned to death.

1. What the Hell? Matthew 28 is a passage about the Resurrection. Is this person high, or something?
2. The Bible doesn't explicitly mention abortion, and certainly doesn't mention any prohibition of it. In fact, if you look at certain passages, you could easily say that the Bible indicates that the embryo/foetus isn't on the same level as the woman.
In fact, as far as I know, in Jewish theology, the foetus/baby isn't ensouled until the moment of crowning during birth. And the foetus is indeed considered 'lesser' than the woman. But this isn't to say that elective abortion of healthy embryos/foetuses is to be encouraged, more that it can be an option.

Claiming to speak for God violates commandment #1(especially when the stated chapter, Mt.28 is about the resurrection and says absolutely NOTHING about abortion, and has fuck all to do with the question at hand). Better pray about that arrogance and lying problem you've got there, SOF.

According to the Bible, life begins with a breath. Embryos and fetuses don't breathe, so they are not alive and can therefore not be murdered.
The hammer of GOD drops on about 50-85 percent of all fertilized eggs. He (supposedly) created a VERY inefficient method for human procreation. Not to mention dangerous, as most women bleed one week a month. Quite a few of us suffer from anemia as a consequence. Blood also draws predators looking for prey.
Why are humans not in heat, like most other mammals, once every spring, instead? Because our offspring is so vulnerable when it's born, it needs parental care for several years. In order to keep the parents together, we evolved constantly swollen mammary glands and constant lust for sex.
Abortions have been happening since the first proto-human realized that certain plants and fungi dislodge the growing fetus from the womb (even though they didn't know exactly what happened). The hammer of GOD ought to have dropped millions of years ago. A prohibition on abortion doesn't stop abortions. It just stops them being safe, and kills both woman and fetus in too many cases.
