"God's Word" gives accounts of a lot of things that are "incompatible" with reality, ElijahFailing. Could it be, perhaps, a metaphor? Or, God forbid, symbolic in any way? Or maybe just flat wrong?

People trying to work out theistic evolution, and other such theories, are just trying to make their beliefs work with reality. Doing so means that more people would be willing to believe in the tenets of your so-called holy book.
